VinFast continues to lower the barriers to electric vehicle (EV) ownership in the Philippines with the launch of its updated battery subscription policy, a move designed to significantly reduce upfront costs and simplify long-term ownership for Filipino consumers.
Under the revised policy, customers can choose between the traditional vehicle purchase with the battery included or opt for VinFast’s innovative battery subscription model. The subscription option allows buyers to reduce their initial investment by up to approximately 20 percent, depending on the model, making EV ownership more attainable for households exploring greener mobility options.
Battery subscription fees start at PHP 1,600 per month and are calculated based on actual driving distance, offering flexibility for different lifestyles, whether for daily city commutes or longer weekend drives. This approach allows customers to better manage expenses while enjoying the benefits of electric mobility.
VinFast positions its battery subscription as a “lifetime battery warranty” solution, offering peace of mind beyond cost savings. Throughout the subscription period, VinFast takes full responsibility for battery performance, including maintenance, repairs, and free replacement once battery capacity falls below 70 percent. Even in the event of battery damage caused by accidents, VinFast covers the necessary handling under the subscription policy, helping reduce unexpected financial burdens.
For customers who prefer to purchase their vehicle with the battery included, VinFast continues to offer strong aftersales support, including a battery warranty of up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers. This dual-ownership approach empowers Filipino consumers to choose the setup that best fits their lifestyle, driving habits, and financial priorities.
According to Mr. Antonio Zara, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Southeast Asia, the updated policy reflects the brand’s customer-first mindset. “With our pioneering battery subscription policy, we aim to remove the biggest concerns of Philippine consumers, helping VinFast electric vehicles become a truly practical and accessible choice for every household when combined with our comprehensive sales and aftersales policies,” he shared.
The revised battery subscription program complements VinFast’s broader initiatives in the Philippines, including free charging at V-Green-operated stations, flexible financing options with low down payments, and a residual value guarantee of up to 90 percent of the original vehicle price.
After more than a year in the local market, VinFast continues to expand its presence with a growing EV lineup, flexible ownership solutions, and an expanding aftersales and charging network. Through partnerships with authorized dealers and service providers, VinFast aims to ensure that EV ownership in the Philippines is not only sustainable, but also convenient and worry-free.
