Nokia sent a unit at home so that I can play with this new bad boy of smart phone, or should I say a bad girl? But never mind that, here's what it packs in that awesome body.

From what I know, Lumia 720 is a mid-range WP8 handset. It has a bigger and better built than the cheaper Lumia 620 and Lumia 520. But this one is more affordable that the elite Lumia phone Lumia 920 and Lumia 820.

So, let's talk about Built and Design.
Well it kind of resembles the flagship Nokia Lumia 920. Rounder corners seamless transition from glass to the corner and sides. Fits the hand just right. Looks classy and looks solid even if looks a bit chunky and plastic-y.

Performance
The Lumia 720 is powered by a Qualcomm 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB or RAM. By the looks of it, it's pretty much capable of running the WP8. It's slick! The whole time I played around it, it didn't lag.

Only complain I can point out is when I scroll on the menus slowly, it judders. Some say its a regular complaint with WP8s.

The battery is fixed. You have some side-loading slots for sim and memory card. Buttons are strategically located and ergonomically places.

Phone Features
Nokia exclusive apps like HERE Maps, HERE Drive, Nokia Glam Me, Panorama, PhotoBeamers, SmartShoot and many more! Even though it's capable enough to run WP8 on a 512MB RAM but I still would have liked if it has 1GB of RAM. Why? well, the Lumia 720 have lots of apps and adding games like Temple Run and others. my point, there are a handful of good games for the platform, but I guess you won't be able to play some of them if you lack sufficient RAM.

The Connectivity is cool also. Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS and NFC (near-field communications.

Downside? Well it's not a 4G phone. :( (i know).  It doesn't have a built in wireless charging, but Nokia has a wireless charging jacket that clips on the back, it is possible if we snap on a cover that adds this feature.

Camera
Well, photography enthusiasts will be pleased with this one. 6.7Mp rear camera with a CarlZeiss lens. f/1.9 aperture and a 1.3Mp from facing camera! Now that's something!

This is definitely a gadget worth looking into. A Windows Phone 8 smartphone that is of high quality but affordable. :)

Thanks again Nokia Philippines for sending over the Nokia Lumia 720. :) I'd love to try out the Lumia 920 for keeps as well. :) Ha ha ha.

Till the next review guys! :)
