Filipina singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre, known for her chart-topping hits and relatable lyrics, solidified her status as a music powerhouse by winning the inaugural Hitmaker Award at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music ceremony.

Dela Torre's impressive career boasts multi-platinum albums and millions of streams across various platforms, making her the most streamed Filipina artist.


During her heartfelt acceptance speech, Moira expressed her gratitude for the recognition. "This award is something I hold dear," she began.

She reminisced about her musical journey and the influential women who shaped her as an artist and a person. Dela Torre paid tribute to OPM icons Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Sarah Geronimo, Pilita Corrales, Armi Millare, and Barbie Almalbis, acknowledging their impact on her music and personal growth.

"On behalf of all the women in OPM you've paved the way for, including myself, I want to say thank you," she declared.

With a touch of humility and immense love, Moira concluded her speech by dedicating the award to the woman who inspires her the most – her mother.

"Who would have thought that the songs I wrote to express myself would resonate with so many people?" she said, her voice filled with emotion. "You make me so brave, Mama. I get to do all of this because you paved the way for me. So, Mom, this one's for you," she expressed, holding back tears.
