The Future of Chores is Here: LG Unveils "CLOiD" Home Robot at CES 2026 to Launch the “Zero Labor Home” Era

SEOUL & LAS VEGAS, JANUARY 6, 2026 — LG Electronics (LG) is taking a giant leap toward a chore-free future with the world debut of LG CLOiD at CES 2026. This advanced home assistant robot is the centerpiece of LG’s “Zero Labor Home” vision, designed to handle everyday household tasks and return "quality time" to homeowners.

Unlike traditional stationary smart hubs, LG CLOiD is a highly mobile and dexterous assistant. It features two articulated arms with seven degrees of freedom each and hands with five individually actuated fingers. This allows CLOiD to perform delicate, complex tasks—like handling kitchenware or tidying up—that previously required human fine motor control.

Key Features of LG CLOiD:

  • Affectionate Intelligence: Powered by LG’s latest AI, CLOiD doesn't just follow commands; it senses its surroundings, recognizes user emotions, and refines its behavior through repeated interactions.

  • Human-Like Dexterity: Its articulated arms and hands allow it to navigate and manipulate objects in modern living environments with natural, fluid motions.

  • Integrated "Brain" & Senses: A high-performance chipset in the head powers its navigation, while a display, camera, and speakers allow for expressive, natural voice and visual communication.

"LG CLOiD is a significant milestone in our goal to free customers from the time-consuming demands of housework," LG stated. The robot is the result of LG’s newly established HS Robotics Lab, highlighting the company’s strategic shift into robotics as a core growth engine.
