During the year-end thanksgiving event, DITO Chief Executive Officer Eric Alberto shared the exciting news of the company’s accolade. DITO dominated Opensignal’s October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report, winning in 14 categories and surpassing the two major telco players in terms of speed. “I’m honored to share that Opensignal has awarded DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines. These milestones are not just accolades; they reflect DITO’s unwavering commitment to providing a strong and reliable network,” said Alberto.
According to Opensignal’s report, DITO excelled across numerous metrics, earning recognition as the most awarded network in the country for 5G speed and overall experience. In 5G download speed, DITO achieved an impressive 287.2 Mbps, nearly doubling Smart’s 147.5 Mbps and far surpassing Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. In terms of overall download speeds, DITO led with 34.6 Mbps, leaving Smart and Globe trailing at 28.6 Mbps and 20.9 Mbps, respectively.
2024 has been a breakout year for DITO, marked by other major milestones. These include the successful completion of its fifth and final technical audit with 86.3% coverage, reaching 14 million subscribers, and securing back-to-back wins as the Rated #1 Mobile Network by Ookla for Q3-Q4 2023 and Q1-Q2 2024.
