Just in case you didn't know, Anne Curtis is the first Filipina celebrity to have a dedicated special on E!. Yes, that's the first! The popular show that is known for pop culture trends and leader in entertainment has chosen the Filipina superstar by dedicating an entire special for Anne.
Jason Godfrey who hosted the event called up Mr. Mr. Ramez Sheikh of E! News Asia to welcome the crowd. Mr. Ramez shared why they chose Anne Curtis, and the reason is "Why not?" Anne, is beautiful and has come a long way and has accomplished so much on her career and we would want to show that to the rest of the world.
Dressed by Francis Libiran, the beautiful actress answered a couple of questions from the crowd.
As for Anne, it was such an honor for her to be a part of this global program. She shared that it was such a blessing and humbling to be featured on E! News Asia. The brand has showcased Hollywood’s hottest like Nicki Minaj, Christina Aguilera to the British royal family and this time, its Anne's time.
The 30 minute E! News Asia Special will premiere on 29 September @ 7.30pm on SkyCable Channel 57, Cignal Channel 25 and Cablelink Channel 33.
Anne Curtis has earned the moniker “National Sweetheart,” amazingly wearing several hats in the Philippine entertainment industry – as a box office star, platinum recording artist, sold-out concert performer, trendsetting fashionista, talented VJ and host. She is also the most sought after product endorser, appearing in various media from billboards to TV commercials.
She began her career in 1997 while on vacation in the Philippines. A talent scout asked her to audition for TV commercials, and within a week bagged her first project. She also got her first acting break within a month when she was cast to play a damsel in distress in Peque Gallaga’s Magic Kingdom and the rest as they say is history.
From breakthrough performances in different networks, starring on her own soap operas, winning her first Best Actress Award at the Metro Manila Film Festival for the epic movie Baler and appearing on her first American indie movie, “Blood Ransom” (to be launched later this year) There is no stopping Anne Curtis.
Anne shared that “It is such an incredible honor to be on the same channel as my aspiring role models. It’s amazing that so many of my dreams are coming true including getting my story told on E! to the rest of Asia. I am getting to experience life-changing moments that I never thought possible and I hope my life story will be entertaining and inspiring to others.”
