Definitely SM cares for the environment, not just that. They do it in a stylish way. SM Supermalls now celebrates its participation in the UN international year of the Forest through the launching of the stylish designs of its new eco-friendly shopping bags at the SM Megamall Event Center last Wednesday August 24, 2011.
Right now, the designs just makes me want to buy and collect them all. I love this design among other eco-bags that SM had in the past years. The bag now symbolizes saving trees from being cut is made from hard wearing non-woven fabric bag that is sourced from 100% polypropylene. For everyone's information, polypropylene is a recyclable, non toxic, allergy free and non reactive to human skin, it is also durable enough to last up to 2 years. Being just one of many environmental projects headed by SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility division of SM Supermalls, the SM Eco Bag project's aim is to inform the public about the dangers of using plastic bags, to raise awareness on how one can help the environment and to have each person make positive changes that will help our planet in the long run.
