MS. RESORTS WORLD MANILA 2011!

By September 01, 2011 , , , , , , , ,

She was one of my favorites and she did win the Darling of the Press award during the press presentation, I can somehow see why she won. Over a thousand guests in attendance at the Newport Performing Arts Theater last Saturday, August 27, Princess won the crown. But even before this came about, you can just imagine the grueling process these beautiful ladies all have to go through. Having all the responsibilities lined up for the Ms. Resorts World Manila is not easy.

Anyways, the event started just a few minutes after the schedule enough for the press to go around and take a few shots of the place. (as I did). Let me guide you through the night.
I took  a couple of shots of some guest....

Then i headed to the judges table.

Azkals Star Player, Anton del Rosario, Philippine Daily Inquirer Showbiz Columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal,

Vincent del Rosario of Viva Films.

Sviatlana Burkun, Charlie Yu of Empire East, Ms. Joyce Chua and

Colin Kerr, the Vice President for Entertainment – Resorts World

Ms. Lulu Sian, Steve Reilly (Executive Vice President RWM), Tati Fortuna of Scribble Works Production, Inc.

It then opened with the girls all wearing gold, I gotta say, it was looking good from where i was sitting, not to mention that the sounds was great and yeah, their dance even made it all better along with the outfits. :)

A few introductions, then they changed into their swimsuits.. and I wasn't complaining

Well, of course the program didn't run by itself, the event was hosted by 2nd timer Sarah Meier and model and TV Host Rovilson Fernandez. They actually did a good job hosting. A few jabs here and there on the program, the candidates and at each other. FUN-ny. :) Good job!

After a few minor awards have been given out, some intermission numbers were also nice.
Kaos lead performer Martha Joy, also rendered a few songs. Leo Valdez, the broadway actor and performer for the RWM concert series this Septemberalso gave a few songs. The soon to be open musical    “The Sound of Music” casts also provided intermission numbers.

Next up was the evening gown. I am not the type that pays attention to detail but the ladies look good on the dresses that they strut with.

The event was great, the set, lights, sounds, costumes and the ladies were great. The production was world class, only from Resorts World Manila. As for the crowned princess. Princess Abella, certainly one of my favorites from the start of the competition. Didn't disappoint. So congratulations!
