Nike Debuts Race-Day System of Speed: Apex, Alphafly 4, Swooshfly | Mix of Everything

A Tailored Choice for Every Starting Line
Race day asks different things of different runners—from chasing a historic marathon record to crossing a starting line for the very first time. Recognizing that performance is not one-size-fits-all, Nike has officially unveiled its new Race-Day System of Speed.

Rather than structuring its marathon and racing footwear as a traditional hierarchy, Nike designed this lineup as a intentional choice. By combining proprietary Air Zoom technology, advanced responsive foams, and engineered plates, each shoe addresses specific needs regarding comfort, confidence, efficiency, and speed.

"Race day is one of the most meaningful moments in a runner’s journey, but that moment looks different for everyone," says Bret Schoolmeester, VP of Nike Running Footwear. "With Nike Apex, Alphafly 4 and Swooshfly, we created a system that helps runners choose the experience they want on race day."
