Unboxing & First impressions of the Huawei Y5P. Is it worth it?

So, what is the best value gadget you can buy for P 4,490? This may be it.  Just when you thought Huawei couldn't come up with new ways to offer the best deals and gadgets, here they are with this new smartphone that's high in quality and performance but not hight in price.

A new-comer in the Huawei Y series, Huawei makes sure that the Huawei Y5P delivers the goods on features, performance, and of course, budget-friendly. Let me show you the back first coz it's cool!

The really nice engraved surface is fingerprint-resistant. It's comfortable to hold but a little lighter (Approx. 144g) to my feel comparing with other phones. The Huawei Y5P also adapted to the square-shaped camera mini bump. If you look closely, you will notice that the sun rays effect from the camera.
Huawei's Y5P is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. If you're wondering about what's going around the rear camera, there's flash and a directional microphone so that it can better capture what it is shooting.
Knowing that it's a budget phone, we should not be surprised that the Huawei Y5P will be sporting a Micro-USB for charging the 3,020 mAh built-in battery using the 5V charging brick. While the battery is a little small that what we are used to these days, some tests show that a full charge can play videos for 17 hours continuously or surf the internet on 4G for 13 hours. The Huawei Y5P also supports HUAWEI AI Power Saving, optimizing your phone battery. If that's not enough, there's an energy-saving mode and Ultra Power Saving Mode. At the bottom, you can also see the microphone.
On the right side are the power and volume rocker, the one the left is the sim and memory card slots. The memory and storage of the Huawei Y5P are 2GB + 32GB ROM, good thing the phone supports micro SD Card up to 512 GB. Perfect for storing those photos and videos.
The display is a 5.45-inch LCD screen having an 18:9 screen ratio. Powering the HuaweiY5P is the Mediatek MT6762R.  Octa-core Processor, 4 x Cortex-A53 2Ghz + 4 x Cortex - A53 1.5 GHz. Running on EMUI which is based on Android 10. It runs smoothly for its category and can even run Asphalt 9 and other games at that level.
Notches, punch holes, teardrops on top never really bothered me. This one leaves enough space for the 5MP camera, (F/2.2 Aperture). The phone doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, but it does have reliable face recognition. The front camera has a front sensor that can recognize ambient lighting to help the user capture of clear selfies and unlocking your device. For the chin though, it kind of does bother me a bit. It's a bit bigger than I'd like it to have. There's a 3.5mm jack on top so you can plug in your headphones.
Setting up is easy, you just need to log in your Huawei ID, and if you don't just create one. Then from there, you can easily copy the apps from your previous phone into your new Huawei Y5P.  Now if you want to start fresh, you can set it up as a new phone and you can get your apps from the Huawei AppGallery. The Huawei Y5p comes preloaded with the AppGallery and all apps on AppGallery work with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). This framework seamlessly connects all Huawei devices.

Huawei AppGallery is the third-largest app store for mobile phones is getting bigger and better every day. Huawei is working with developers to bring the most in-demand apps to the Huawei AppGallery.
