As anticipation builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ set to be the biggest in history, Lenovo is stepping into the global spotlight with a near real-time AI-powered infrastructure designed to transform how the world experiences football.

As the Official Technology Partner of FIFA, Lenovo is powering the tournament’s digital backbone across three host countries, 48 teams, and an estimated 6 billion global fans. From stadiums to fan zones, every moment of the action is being captured, processed, and delivered faster than ever, bringing fans closer to the game in near real time.

At the core of this transformation is ultra-low-latency IPTV delivery, now reduced to under five seconds. Using Lenovo ThinkSystem SR635 V3 servers, live match feeds are processed at the International Broadcast Center in Dallas, enabling seamless distribution across more than 1,000 screens inside FIFA venues. Whether in media tribunes, VIP areas, or fan spaces, audiences can instantly access every match as it unfolds.
More than 17,000 Lenovo and Motorola devices, supported by 200+ engineers, will be deployed across stadiums and training camps to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations throughout the tournament.
A Smarter, AI-Powered Football Experience

Beyond broadcast delivery, Lenovo is also powering FIFA’s Technology Command Center in Miami and the Tournament Operation Center, serving as mission control for the entire competition. These hubs enable real-time monitoring of all systems, helping organizers respond instantly to operational needs across all venues.

According to Lenovo, this AI infrastructure is not just about speed, it’s about redefining how fans experience football. Near real-time highlights, multi-angle views, and AI-driven insights help audiences follow the game in more immersive ways than ever before.

FIFA officials also highlighted the importance of this partnership in ensuring reliable, high-performance systems capable of supporting the world’s most complex sporting event.

Enhancing the Way Fans See the Game
Fans will also experience new AI-powered features designed to make football more understandable and engaging. These include 3D player avatars that visually explain complex moments like offside decisions, helping viewers better understand key calls as they happen.
Inside stadiums, Lenovo is enhancing the live experience with smarter navigation tools, stabilized referee-style camera views with reduced motion distortion, and immersive digital and holographic activations that bring fans even closer to the action.

Smarter Football for All 48 Teams
In line with its “Smarter AI for All” vision, Lenovo is also launching the FIFA AI Pro platform—an AI-powered tactical assistant designed for coaches, analysts, and players across all participating teams. Built on Lenovo’s AI Factory, it democratizes access to advanced analytics, helping level the playing field for all 48 nations.

Fans Can Bring the World Cup Home
To celebrate the tournament, Lenovo is also releasing FIFA Special Edition devices across its lineup, including the motorola razr FIFA World Cup 26th Edition, ThinkPad X9-14 Gen 1, ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 & 14, Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition, Idea Tab, and Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16”, Gen 10).

These limited-edition devices let fans carry a piece of the world’s biggest sporting event long after the final whistle.

As Lenovo expands its sports technology footprint, this partnership underscores a shift toward fully integrated, AI-powered live event ecosystems, where infrastructure, devices, and analytics work together in real time to redefine global sports experiences.
