Vingroup Extends EV Incentives in Philippines to Help Drivers Switch from Gas to Electric Until April 2026

As fuel prices continue to climb and global supply challenges persist, Vingroup is stepping up its commitment to everyday consumers by extending its special support program for those transitioning from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric mobility. Now available until April 30, 2026, the initiative reinforces the company’s dedication to easing financial pressure while encouraging a more sustainable lifestyle.

Originally launched to help communities cope with rising fuel costs, the “Trade Gas for Electric” program continues to gain traction across key markets including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Through this extension, customers can enjoy added incentives when switching to electric vehicles from VinFast, making eco-friendly transportation not just a responsible choice, but a practical one too.

Customers who make the switch will receive an additional 3% discount on VinFast electric cars and 5% on electric motorcycles—on top of existing promotions. These savings aim to make the transition smoother and more appealing, especially for urban drivers navigating daily commutes and rising fuel expenses.

Beyond vehicle ownership, Vingroup is also enhancing everyday mobility experiences. Users of electric ride-hailing services such as Xanh SM and Green SM will continue to benefit from a 10% fare reduction, making greener transport options more accessible for daily trips.

According to Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, the program has already sparked significant momentum since its launch in March. “This initiative has empowered hundreds of thousands of customers to embrace electric vehicles as part of their lifestyle. By extending the program, we’re opening more opportunities for people to go green while contributing to reduced fuel consumption and a more sustainable future,” she shared.

The growing appeal of electric mobility is evident in VinFast’s recent milestone. On March 28, 2026, the company recorded an impressive 3,520 EV orders in a single day—equivalent to processing 2.4 vehicles per minute. This achievement not only reflects VinFast’s operational strength but also signals a broader shift toward electric vehicles, both regionally and globally.

With rising fuel costs shaping daily decisions, Vingroup’s extended program offers a timely and practical solution—helping more people transition to cleaner, smarter, and more cost-efficient ways of getting around.
