LG CLOiD™ Debuts at CES 2026: The AI Home Robot Turning the “Zero Labor Home” into a Physical Reality

LAS VEGAS, JANUARY 6, 2026 — LG Electronics (LG) has officially moved AI from the screen to the living room floor with the unveiling of LG CLOiD™. Debuting at CES 2026, this sophisticated home robot is the physical embodiment of LG’s “Zero Labor Home” vision—a future where housework is delegated to intelligent machines, freeing humans to spend time on what truly matters.

A Personal Assistant with Physical AI LG CLOiD is not just a hub; it is an active participant in the home. Using Physical AI, which combines Vision Language Models (VLM) and Vision Language Action (VLA), CLOiD can "see" a croissant and "know" to place it in the oven, or recognize laundry that needs folding. With its head unit acting as a mobile ThinQ hub, it learns user patterns and controls connected appliances with precision.

Engineered for the Human Home CLOiD features a human-centric hardware design optimized for stability and safety:

  • Articulated Dexterity: Dual arms with seven degrees of freedom and hands with five actuated fingers allow it to perform delicate tasks like retrieving milk from the fridge or stacking garments.

  • Versatile Movement: A tilting torso enables CLOiD to pick up objects from knee level, while its autonomous wheeled base ensures it navigates around pets and furniture safely.

  • Axium™ Actuators: Powering these movements is LG’s new AXIUM™ brand of robotic actuators, delivering high torque and efficiency in a compact, modular design.

The Roadmap to an AI-Driven Future The launch of CLOiD marks the beginning of a new era for LG, transitioning from smart appliances to "Robotized Appliances." From refrigerators that open automatically to robots that handle the entire laundry cycle, LG is creating a seamless ecosystem where "Zero Labor" is the standard.

"The LG CLOiD home robot is designed to naturally engage with and understand the humans it serves," said Steve Baek, president of LG Home Appliance Solution Company. "We are making housework a thing of the past."
