Mobile gamers in the Philippines have a new set of options to consider as nubia officially rolls out the nubia Neo 5 Series. The launch took place during a fan activation event at SM Megamall, where attendees got a closer look at the brand’s latest gaming-focused devices.
The lineup includes three models: nubia Neo 5, nubia Neo 5 Pro, and nubia Neo 5 GT, each offering different configurations depending on how users balance performance, storage, and price.
The nubia Neo 5 starts at PhP 11,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the nubia Neo 5 Pro (12GB+256GB) is priced at PhP 14,999. Meanwhile, the nubia Neo 5 GT is available in two configurations: 8GB+256GB at PhP 17,999 and 12GB+512GB at PhP 19,999. The GT variant is offered in Phantom Black, Stellar Silver, and Electro Gold.
Across the series, nubia continues to focus on gaming-oriented design elements, including RGB lighting, a distinct visual identity, and software features tailored for gameplay. This generation introduces a built-in active cooling fan supported by a large VC vapor chamber, designed to manage heat during longer sessions without relying on external accessories.
The phones also retain shoulder triggers, a feature often appreciated by mobile gamers. Due to the addition of cooling vents, the placement of the volume and power buttons has been slightly adjusted for usability.
The nubia Neo 5 GT is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, with clock speeds of up to 2.6GHz. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM, expandable by another 12GB, and up to 512GB of storage. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for more stable online gameplay.
Battery capacity is set at 6,210mAh, paired with 80W fast charging. The inclusion of charge separation allows the device to draw power directly during gaming, helping reduce heat buildup and battery strain.
On the front, the nubia Neo 5 GT features a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. It also offers a 439ppi pixel density and is paired with DTS:X Ultra audio support for a more immersive viewing and listening experience.
For everyday use, the device includes a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front-facing camera, covering basic photography and video needs beyond gaming.
With its range of configurations and pricing, the nubia Neo 5 Series offers a more flexible entry point for users looking to get into mobile gaming without immediately stepping into flagship territory.
