Esports is no longer confined to gaming cafés or online streams. In a bold move to bring competitive gaming closer to everyday Filipinos, OPPO Philippines, together with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), transformed barangay courts across Bulacan and Pampanga into high-energy esports arenas through the OPPO x MLBB Barangay Caravan.
The multi-leg caravan turned familiar community spaces into lively gaming hubs, hosting 5v5 MLBB tournaments alongside interactive activities and hands-on OPPO smartphone experiences. Designed to make esports more accessible, the initiative welcomed young gamers, local teams, and MLBB fans, creating an inclusive environment where Gen Z players could compete, connect, and celebrate their passion for gaming right in their own neighborhoods.
OPPO took an active role in select caravan legs, co-presenting and leading official 5v5 tournaments in Barangay Bagong Barrio and Barangay Barrio in Pandi, Bulacan, as well as Barangay Cuayan and Barangay Sto. Domingo in Angeles, Pampanga. Victorious teams were rewarded with OPPO A3x smartphones, while standout players from each barangay earned the coveted MVP title along with an all-new OPPO A6 Pro.
In other stops, including Barangay Cacarong Bata in Pandi, Bulacan, and Barangay Panginay Cuayan and Barangay Cuayan in Angeles, Pampanga, OPPO joined as a major sponsor—enhancing the tournament atmosphere and supporting on-ground activations that energized both players and spectators.
Beyond intense matchups, the caravan delivered a full community experience with booth activities, giveaways, and the OPPO Legends Henyo segment, where fans tested their MLBB knowledge for a chance to win exciting prizes. More than just a tournament, the OPPO x MLBB Barangay Caravan reinforced the brand’s commitment to grassroots esports, meeting Filipino gamers where they play and empowering the next generation of local esports talent.
