UNIQLO Opens the Holiday Season with Warmth, Music, and Meaningful Gifts

Discover the new gift finder, LifeWear must-haves, and what makes this year’s celebration feel more intentional with UNIQLO Holiday Event featuring Jose Mari Chan, KZ Tandingan, TJ Monterde, and the brand’s heartwarming sustainability initiatives.
The holiday season officially arrived for me when I attended UNIQLO’s annual Holiday Event at the BGC Amphitheater. It was my first time experiencing their “Wrap Each Other in Love” celebration in person, and what stood out was how the brand blended music, community, and clothing into something simple yet heartfelt. The venue felt cozy and welcoming, not overly grand, but warm enough to set the tone for the season.
This year, UNIQLO focused on small acts of care and meaningful giving. Before the performances even began, we were introduced to the relaunch of the RE.UNIQLO Donation Drive. I’ve always known UNIQLO for quality basics, but seeing how they encourage Filipinos to give new life to their pre-loved LifeWear items added another layer to the brand. Donations collected from all stores nationwide will be given to SOS Children’s Village and also used for disaster relief efforts through SM Foundation. With recent typhoons affecting communities across the country, their Php 3,000,000 aid for relief efforts felt timely and sincere. It reminded me that clothing can do more than keep us warm—it can bring comfort to someone who truly needs it.
The program then shifted into a more festive moment with a special performance by the PARC Foundation, followed by the trio that shaped the night’s energy: Jose Mari Chan, KZ Tandingan, and TJ Monterde. Hearing Jose Mari Chan live will always feel like an official holiday starter in the Philippines, but pairing him with KZ and TJ created a refreshing mix. Their collaboration is also the voice behind this year’s UNIQLO holiday jingle. Watching the three of them perform while UNIQLO lit up its Holiday Tree felt very simple yet memorable, like a quiet reminder that celebrations don’t need to be extravagant to be meaningful.
Beyond the performances, the event also highlighted UNIQLO’s focus on making holiday gifting easier and more thoughtful. I got to try their new Perfect Gift Finder, a tool that matches you to a gifting persona after answering a few questions. It’s surprisingly helpful, especially if you tend to overthink what to give people (like me). Whether someone loves travel, prefers comfort wear, or needs more work-ready pieces, the tool suggests LifeWear items that fit their lifestyle. It made me realize how practical holiday gifting can be if you pair intention with simplicity.
Inside the stores, the holiday vibe continues with décor and window displays that make browsing feel more cheerful. I also appreciate their Click & Collect service, which lets you pick up online orders for free with no minimum spend. A small feature, but it genuinely saves time during the holiday rush.

As for the products, UNIQLO remains consistent with its mix of stylish and functional LifeWear. Their T-shirt and polo collections are still reliable choices, and their AIRism pieces remain my favorites when it comes to comfort. I revisited their easy pants selection during the event, and they really are go-tos for everyday wear, simple silhouettes, breathable fabrics, and easy to style. The HEATTECH lineup is also back, and for those with upcoming holiday trips, the Ultra Warm and PUFFTECH pieces are worth checking out. The fleece jackets, especially the Fluffy Yarn ones for women, also feel great on the skin.

Even the more affordable options, including items starting at Php 390, make it easier to choose practical gifts without going over budget. It’s these small details that show how UNIQLO understands what Filipino shoppers look for during the holidays, pieces you’ll actually use, not just store away.
What stayed with me wasn’t just the music or the clothes, but the consistent theme of meaningful giving. UNIQLO didn’t try to oversell anything; instead, it highlighted how thoughtful choices. Whether through gifting or donating, it can make this season feel warmer.

If you’re planning your holiday shopping or simply want to experience a bit of the festive spirit, UNIQLO’s stores and their holiday initiatives are worth checking out. The brand keeps things simple, but sometimes that’s all we really need during the busiest time of the year.
