The Big Bad Wolf Books Sale is back in Metro Manila! Experience my personal visit to the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, featuring millions of books, great deals, and fun surprises for book lovers of all ages.
The Big Bad Wolf Books Sale has once again made its mark in Metro Manila, this time bringing its final stop of the year to the South. Happening from October 2 to 13, 2025, the event takes over The Filinvest Tent in Alabang, offering readers the chance to explore over two million titles under one roof. As someone who has attended a few Big Bad Wolf events before, I was excited to see how this stop would bring something new for both casual readers and book lovers like myself.
When I arrived, I could already feel the energy from the crowd. The venue was filled with people of all ages, from parents with their kids to young professionals scanning through the latest novels and collectors looking for rare finds. The VIP Day was especially lively. Early attendees got first dibs on some amazing deals and even had the chance to join fun raffles. I managed to pick up a few good titles myself, a mix of motivational books, a travel guide, and a fiction read I’ve been eyeing for months. There’s a special satisfaction in discovering a book you’ve been wanting at a fraction of the usual price.
The event opened with warm words from Ley Almeda, Country Head of Big Bad Wolf Books Philippines, who shared how the brand’s goal has always been to inspire a love for reading and make books more accessible to Filipino families. Bernard Lee, Business Director of Big Bad Wolf Books Malaysia, also expressed his excitement about bringing the world’s biggest book sale back to Filinvest and how each visit is meant to create lasting memories for visitors. Hearing them speak reminded me that this event is not just about discounts, it’s about encouraging people to read more and build their own personal libraries.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also attended by special guests, including His Excellency Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Atty. Amorsolo R. Camara Jr., and Mr. Mitch Dumlao of Filinvest Malls, among others. The setup was simple but festive, and it felt nice to see how much effort was put into welcoming the community once again.
As I explored the aisles, it was clear that there was something for everyone. The shelves were packed with titles covering every genre imaginable, bestsellers, young adult fiction, self-help, children’s stories, cookbooks, and creative reads. Even if you’re not a big reader, you’ll probably find something that sparks your interest. I also noticed a great selection of art books and design guides, which would make perfect gifts.
One thing that stood out this year was the raffle promo. For every ₱5,000 single-receipt purchase, customers can join for a chance to win prizes like an IKEA bookshelf with 100 books, an iPad, or even a 3-day getaway for two. It’s a fun way to make the experience even more exciting, especially if you’re buying books for the whole family or as gifts.
If you haven’t been to the Filinvest stop yet, there’s still time to catch the sale before it ends on October 13. The tent is open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Friday to Sunday until midnight, with free admission for everyone.
Overall, my experience at the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale in Filinvest was both relaxing and inspiring. It’s not often that you get to spend hours surrounded by so many stories and people who love books just as much as you do. Whether you’re looking for a weekend activity, hunting for rare finds, or simply want to rekindle your reading habit, this event is worth checking out.
For updates on future sales, follow Big Bad Wolf Books on Facebook and Instagram, or visit their official website. And if you’re planning to go, bring a tote bag or two, you’ll probably need them once you see how many good reads you’ll want to take home.
