Christmas arrives early in the Philippines as IKEA officially opens its much-awaited Christmas Shop, bringing festive cheer to shoppers at IKEA Pasay and online at IKEA.ph. The launch marks the start of the -ber months, a season Filipinos eagerly anticipate for holiday décor, food, parties, and gift-giving. To welcome the season, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Rodel Colmenar, together with singer Gian Magdangal, filled the air with Christmas carols during the store’s grand opening.
This year, IKEA has permanently reduced the prices of over 400 must-have items, making it easier than ever for shoppers to prepare for the holidays. The Christmas Shop highlights two standout collections — VINTERFINT and STRÅLA — designed to capture the magic of Christmas while keeping true to IKEA’s hallmarks of functionality, style, and affordability. Both collections are crafted to bring joy to homes while offering sustainable choices for décor and gifting.
According to Ricardo Pinheiro, IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager, the new Christmas Shop combines design, affordability, and sustainability. Festive options such as the VINTERFINT Santa Claus figures, made from 100% recycled polyester and priced from just ₱129, bring Scandinavian holiday charm to Filipino homes. Artificial wreaths, hanging bouquets, and potted plants crafted from recycled polyester and PET start at only ₱49. Shoppers can also mix and match accents with larger pieces like artificial Christmas trees, creating a personalized holiday look without going over budget.
The VINTERFINT collection, which comes from the Swedish words for “winter” and “nice,” features 179 designs inspired by Swedish traditions with a modern twist. From playful tree ornaments in traditional red balls to translucent glass, candy canes, and stylized reindeer, to tabletop Christmas trees made from recycled paper, the collection lets shoppers decorate every corner of their homes. The artificial trees are available in sizes ranging from 150 cm (five feet) to 210 cm (seven feet), making them perfect for different spaces.
VINTERFINT also extends to the kitchen with fun and functional holiday pieces. Cookie cutters, festive molds, colorful coasters, disposable napkins, and serving ware add a joyful touch to the dining table, ideal for family meals, shared laughter, and timeless Christmas traditions. IKEA also makes gift-giving simple and stress-free with a range of paper wrappers, patterned bags, and other essentials, perfect for the 25 days of Advent or any holiday celebration.
The STRÅLA collection, meanwhile, takes inspiration from the Swedish word meaning “to send out light or rays in many directions,” evoking the image of stars shining brightly during winter. Featuring about 40 pieces of lighting, STRÅLA transforms homes with cozy, energy-efficient, and long-lasting LED lights. From star-shaped lamps and Scandinavian-style fairy lights to snow globe and gift-shaped lamps, as well as battery-operated candelabras, the collection helps create a warm and inviting glow from September all the way to Christmas Day.
Both the VINTERFINT and STRÅLA collections bring everything Filipino families need to transform their homes into festive havens. IKEA’s commitment to affordable prices, thoughtful design, and sustainability ensures that shoppers can celebrate the holidays without compromising on style or budget.
The IKEA Christmas Shop is now open at IKEA Mall of Asia and online at IKEA.ph. Discover the VINTERFINT and STRÅLA collections today and bring home the inspiration to make your Christmas brighter, warmer, and truly unforgettable.
