Ugreen introduces the world’s first Qi2-certified power bank, the MagFlow, with 25W wireless charging and a 10,000mAh battery. Here's what you need to know about this game-changing device coming in Fall 2025.
Ugreen is stepping into the spotlight with what it calls the world's first Qi v2.2-certified power bank, offering wireless charging speeds that reach up to 25W. This announcement marks a significant upgrade in portable charging technology, especially as most current power banks top out at just 15W when it comes to wireless output.
Named the Ugreen MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank, this upcoming device is designed with the latest smartphones in mind, including Apple’s iPhone 16 series. Ugreen is positioning this new product to match the capabilities of Apple’s updated MagSafe charger, which also supports faster 25W charging introduced with the iPhone 16 lineup.
The MagFlow isn't just about speed. It packs a 10,000mAh battery, providing enough power to fully charge most smartphones at least once. It also features a built-in braided USB-C charging cable, which cleverly doubles as a lanyard. While the cable doesn’t retract, it’s clearly designed for both function and portability, avoiding the usual clutter of loose cables.
For users who often charge more than one device, Ugreen has included an extra USB-C port at the bottom, allowing dual charging one device via wireless and another with a cable. There’s also a small digital display that shows the remaining battery level, a handy touch for keeping track of power usage on the go.
While Ugreen has yet to announce official pricing or a specific release date, the MagFlow is scheduled to launch in Fall 2025. This release is expected to coincide with growing support for the Qi v2.2 standard, which the Wireless Power Consortium is still finalizing. The upcoming standard aims to push wireless charging speeds up to 50W, though most devices are currently capped around 15W under Qi2.
Interestingly, although the iPhone 16 only supports Qi v2.1, the next generation of iPhones expected later this year, are rumored to support the Qi v2.2 protocol. If true, Ugreen’s MagFlow could become one of the first accessories fully compatible with that new wave of devices.
In the meantime, Qi2-compatible devices are slowly rolling out, and brands like Apple and Google are already managing to boost performance within the current limits. With certification documents and early testing already underway, it’s only a matter of time before Qi v2.2 becomes the new standard.
For anyone looking to stay ahead of tech trends, the Ugreen MagFlow looks like a smart buy once it's available. Keep an eye out this fall, especially if you're planning to upgrade your phone or travel light without sacrificing charging speed.
