OnePlus unveils two new additions to the Ace 5 lineup, the Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing. Explore their key features, pricing, performance, and what makes each phone stand out.
The OnePlus Ace 5 series is getting a major refresh with two brand-new additions – the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and the Ace 5 Racing. Launched almost six months after the debut of the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, these latest smartphones are positioned to continue OnePlus's strategy of delivering flagship-grade performance at competitive prices.

Despite sharing the same family name, the Ace 5 Ultra and Racing are very different in both specs and design, with each model targeting a unique audience. Whether you're after premium performance or extended battery life, OnePlus has something new to offer.

OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra: Peak Performance with Premium Touches
Leading the new launch is the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, which lives up to its "Ultra" name by being the most powerful OnePlus phone powered by a MediaTek chipset to date. It runs on the Dimensity 9400+, a top-tier processor built to handle heavy multitasking, gaming, and AI tasks with ease.
The phone features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution slightly better than Full HD+, giving users smooth visuals and vibrant colors. Storage and memory options are generous, starting from 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and going up to 16GB, with storage capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB of fast UFS 4.0 storage.

While the camera setup is more modest compared to other flagship devices, it includes a 50MP main camera with autofocus and optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 112-degree field of view, and a 16MP front-facing camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. OnePlus has also included a customizable side button that can launch tools like a flashlight, alarm, translator, or AI assistant.
Another highlight of the Ace 5 Ultra is its G1 connectivity chip, which boosts Wi-Fi performance by 33% over rivals. For gamers and heavy users, the phone is cooled by a multi-layered system that includes a 7,300 sq. mm vapor chamber, keeping performance steady during long sessions.

Powering it all is a 6,700mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and bypass charging, which helps avoid overheating during gaming while plugged in. OnePlus says a quick 10-minute charge can give you up to 3 hours of gaming, while a full charge takes just under 40 minutes.

The Ace 5 Ultra runs ColorOS 15, Oppo's Android-based UI, and includes local-only AI features through OnePlus’s in-house assistant. It is available in Blue, Black, and a standout Titanium Silver version with a striped design. Pricing starts at CNY 2,499 for the base 12GB/256GB model and goes up to CNY 3,799 for the 16GB RAM + 1TB version.

OnePlus Ace 5 Racing: Bigger Battery, Lighter Price
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing offers a slightly more affordable experience without skimping on performance. It’s powered by the Dimensity 9400e, a slightly trimmed-down version of the Ultra’s processor, but still capable for daily use and gaming.
The device uses a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, making it ideal for scrolling and media consumption. It carries the same memory and storage configurations as the Ultra, except for the 1TB option giving users a decent variety of models to choose from.

Camera-wise, it drops to a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP black and white sensor, while the front camera remains a 16MP shooter. While not the most versatile setup, it should be enough for social media photos and casual video chats.
What really sets the Racing model apart is its massive 7,100mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus smartphone. It supports 80W charging along with bypass charging, offering long-lasting usage especially useful for video streaming or travel.

Although it skips the G1 connectivity chip, the Racing edition still features a capable 7,000 sq. mm vapor chamber cooling system to maintain smooth performance. It also runs ColorOS 15 and includes select AI features like 4K video upscaling and photo object removal.

Available in White, Black, and Mint Green, the Ace 5 Racing starts at CNY 1,799 for the 12GB/256GB model, making it a solid choice for users looking for value without compromising too much on capability.
