Casio has launched the new G-Shock GBA-950 in Japan, combining sporty style with smart GPS tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
Casio has officially introduced its latest addition to the G-Shock lineup, the GBA-950, now available in Japan. This model is designed for users who want a tough sports watch that also supports smart features, including GPS-based distance tracking, fitness insights, and Bluetooth connectivity. The GBA-950 blends G-Shock’s signature durability with modern health and performance tracking, making it a solid pick for fitness fans and daily wearers.

The G-Shock GBA-950 is available in three stylish versions: the GBA-950-1A (black), GBA-950-2A (purple/black), and GBA-950-7A (white/gray). Each model offers a slightly different look, but all share the same core features. The design includes multiple digital displays and a bold case that sits comfortably on the wrist, thanks to Casio’s origami-inspired folding engineering used in the integrated bezel and band. This unique structure helps improve fit and stability during workouts or runs.
While the GBA-950 doesn’t have built-in GPS, it syncs with your smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing it to access GPS data through the Casio Watches app. This connection lets you track your running distance, pace, step count, andstep count, along with estimated calorie burn. There’s also an auto-lap function to help runners monitor performance in real-time. Beyond fitness, the watch supports dual time zones, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and daily alarms, making it handy for travel and daily schedules.

The smaller digital screens on the GBA-950 don’t just show the time—they also display data like exercise intensity and progress toward personal fitness goals. Whether you're working out or just managing your daily routine, this helps keep you informed without needing to check your phone.

In terms of build, the GBA-950 is water-resistant up to 20 ATM, so it can handle splashes, rain, and even swimming. The watch also features luminous hands and an LED backlight, making it easy to read in low light. The GBA-950-1A and GBA-950-2A come with a black watch face and high-contrast digital readouts, while the GBA-950-7A has a lighter gray face with dark figures for a softer look. Each model runs on a battery expected to last up to two years, which is ideal for users who don’t want to worry about frequent recharging.

The G-Shock GBA-950 is now available for purchase in Japan at a retail price of ¥25,300 (around PHP 9,800). Casio has not yet announced availability in global markets, but fans outside Japan can likely expect international releases later this year.
