Lenovo Expands Cyber Resilience Services in the Philippines as AI Security Threats Grow

0
As businesses across the Philippines accelerate AI adoption and digital workplace transformation, cybersecurity is becoming more than a technical concern. With more systems, devices, data, and employees connected than ever, organizations are also facing increasing complexity when it comes to protecting their operations and responding to cyber threats.

According to recent Lenovo research, 90% of IT leaders acknowledge gaps in their ability to defend against AI-driven threats, highlighting the growing need for organizations to strengthen their cyber resilience.

The challenge is particularly relevant for Philippine enterprises in industries such as banking, healthcare, retail, business process outsourcing, government, and the public sector. The Department of Information and Communications Technology’s National Cybersecurity Plan 2023-2028 identifies cyber resilience as a national priority, while the National Privacy Commission requires personal information controllers and processors to maintain security incident management policies and submit annual security incident reports.

For organizations navigating this increasingly connected environment, cybersecurity is no longer simply about having more tools. It is also about ensuring that people, devices, data, and business operations remain protected and can recover quickly when disruptions occur.

To address this, Lenovo is expanding its global Security Services portfolio with a revamped cyber resiliency framework and end-to-end security offerings. The approach is designed to provide organizations with a single point of accountability while helping reduce security complexity, cut system downtime by up to 50%, and lower remediation costs by up to 40%.

“Security leaders don't need more tools. They need greater confidence that their people, devices, and data remain protected, and clear accountability when issues arise,” said Rakshit Ghura, Vice President and General Manager, Digital Workplace Solutions, Lenovo. “By bringing trusted devices, leading security technologies, expert managed services, and market-leading alliances together under a single operational model, Lenovo helps customers reduce complexity while strengthening resilience.”

Michael Ngan, President and General Manager, Lenovo Philippines, added that cyber resilience is becoming increasingly critical as AI adoption grows locally.

“For local enterprises, especially those in sectors such as banking, healthcare, government, education, and business process outsourcing, the ability to respond quickly, maintain continuity, and recover with confidence is becoming critical,” Ngan said. “Lenovo’s end-to-end cyber resiliency framework helps organizations simplify security operations by bringing trusted devices, leading security technologies, expert services, and ecosystem partners together through a single accountable model.”

Lenovo's approach has also received recognition from industry analysts and independent organizations, including the 2026 Fortress Cybersecurity Awards across cyber resilience, application security, and AI security categories. According to ISG Research, Lenovo Security Services combines hardware trust, multi-layered protection, and AI-enabled operations within a unified framework designed to improve resilience and business continuity.

Managed Resilience for Distributed Workforces
As part of the expanded portfolio, Lenovo is launching Security Services with Absolute, a fully managed end-to-end resilience offering designed to help organizations maintain critical security controls across distributed workforces without adding more pressure to internal IT teams.

The service allows essential security controls to automatically recover when disrupted, reducing manual intervention and helping maintain consistent protection across environments.

The offering is supported by Lenovo's global 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC), where security specialists continuously monitor activity and help organizations identify and respond to emerging threats. By combining firmware-level resilience, managed operations, and expert security oversight, Lenovo aims to help organizations strengthen protection while reducing the operational burden on internal teams.

Extending Security Beyond Connected Devices
Lenovo is also introducing Lenovo ThinkShield TraceLock, powered by Absolute Security, which is designed to give organizations greater visibility and control over lost, stolen, or disconnected devices.

Traditional endpoint security can depend on an active operating system or network connection. When a device is powered off or disconnected, it can become a security blind spot. ThinkShield TraceLock uses built-in cellular connectivity to allow IT teams to remotely locate, wake, and wipe devices, helping protect sensitive information even when hardware is offline.

The solution can be particularly relevant for organizations in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare, financial services, government, business process outsourcing, and the public sector, where protecting sensitive information and maintaining compliance are essential.

ThinkShield TraceLock is available beginning July 1 on select ThinkPad devices.

A More Connected Approach to Cybersecurity
Lenovo's cyber resiliency framework brings together capabilities covering Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Extended Detection and Response, Visibility and Risk Management, and Security for AI.

The framework integrates with technology providers including Absolute, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, SentinelOne, and Veeam, allowing organizations to coordinate security capabilities through a more unified operational model.

Rather than requiring customers to manage multiple providers independently during security incidents, Lenovo's AI-enabled SOC combines end-to-end resilience, ongoing protection, and recovery through a single accountable relationship.

For Philippine businesses, the approach offers a way to simplify increasingly complex security environments while maintaining business continuity and supporting digital transformation. As AI becomes a bigger part of everyday business operations, Lenovo's expanded security services aim to help organizations move forward with greater confidence.
