Anker launches the Air 2 magnetic power bank in China, offering a slim design, 20W fast charging, and MagSafe compatibility for iPhone users.
Anker has officially launched the Anker Air 2 magnetic power bank in China, adding a new option to its growing range of portable chargers. This new release is focused on portability, efficiency, and compatibility with iPhone and Android devices. With a thickness of just 8.6 mm, the Air 2 stands out as one of the slimmest magnetic power banks currently available, making it easy to slip into a pocket or bag without adding bulk.

The Air 2 is designed with a clear focus on Apple users. It features an “Apple-style” aesthetic, including a rounded design, a smooth metal frame, and a clean finish that matches the look of MagSafe-compatible iPhones. Anker claims the device uses the same battery technology found in Apple smartphones, which is meant to ensure reliability and efficiency when charging iPhones wirelessly.
For charging capabilities, the Anker Air 2 includes a USB-C port that supports 20W fast charging, allowing users to power up their phones quickly through a wired connection. When using wireless charging, the power bank delivers up to 7.5W of power. While it doesn't support the newer Qi2 wireless charging standard, it still provides efficient performance for everyday use.

One of the standout features of the Air 2 is its internal temperature management system. It uses NTC temperature sensors that measure the device’s temperature up to 12,000 times per hour. This system helps keep the charger cool, whether you’re using it wirelessly or with a cable.

The built-in magnetic alignment works best with MagSafe-enabled iPhones, allowing the power bank to snap into place for a secure and convenient charge. However, Android phones that support magnetic charging can also use it, offering broader device compatibility.

Powering the Anker Air 2 is a 5,000 mAh battery, which is enough for a partial or full charge depending on your device. It also supports 20W self-charging, meaning the power bank itself can be recharged quickly when paired with a compatible wall charger, like the Anker Nano II (available for $27.99 on Amazon).
The power bank is currently available in China for CNY 229, which is around $32 USD. It comes in three different colors, giving users a bit of variety in terms of style. While there’s no official word yet on a global release, Anker’s growing popularity and history of international launches make it likely that the Air 2 will be available in other markets soon.
