Huawei Watch 3 Review

0

The Huawei Watch 3 is the latest smartwatch that Huawei released and a lot of people have been asking me for a review of the watch so here we go.

The 1.43 inches AMOLED color screen is beautiful. It supports full-screen touch operations where you can swipe, tap, press, and hold. With a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, PPI 326 is actually clear and vibrant. I personally like the curved 3D Glass Screen giving you a unique feel and experience. (Sleek I tell you!) The brightness of the watch can be adjusted to your preference also.

Speaking of preference, adjust and design your watch face according to what you like. Have your personal photos as your Huawei Watch 3 wallpaper watch face in few simple steps. Just head over to the Huawei health app on your phone, tap on the watch faces, and choose Gallery. Here you can choose from the photos from your phone to your watch. There are some premium watch faces you can buy for as low as Php 19.99 as well.

The watch case that houses the smartwatch is made out of Stainless steel + ceramic. The design is classy and premium. The All titanium metal body is tough making sure that high-end technology inside is protected. I guess the watch is a little chunkier than what I'm used to,  but you can also feel that the watch is well built and made with quality materials.

There are two buttons on the side. One is for quick access to different workout modes (which you can change and customize btw) and the other one is the protruding crown that helps you navigate around the watch. Those four holes there are where the speakers are.
Pairing & setup is easy, make sure you have the Huawei Health APP. Open the app, then scan the QR code. Follow the onscreen instructions and finish the pair. If you have a Huawei phone, your smartphone would be able to detect it and guide you through the setup.

High-end intelligent Technology (eSim Technology)

Now, what is new with this watch? Well, Huawei values the idea of connecting people and devices in what they call The Huawei ecosystem. Part of this is being able to stay connected as well, using the eSIM technology. the Huawei Watch 3 can function as a stand-alone communication device. You can make calls, play music, and download apps without being connected to your phone and still using your existing number. Awesome right?

All Around Professional Sports watch and Health Management wearable.
The Huawei Watch 3 has over 100 workout modes which include 17 professional workout modes, 12 outdoor workouts (running, walking, mountain, climbing, hiking, cross-country running, cycling, open water, swimming, triathlon, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and golf driving range), and 7 indoor workouts (walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, free training, elliptical machine, and rowing machine). So many workout options to choose from, you'd have no excuse, not to work out. Whatever workout you are in, this watch is ready to take on the challenge.

For the elderly and extreme sports enthusiasts, the biggest concern is sudden falls and injuries which often go undetected and can lead to serious consequences. With Fall Detection and SOS alert enabled, the Huawei Watch 3 will automatically enter Help mode when a fall is detected.
The HUAWEI WATCH 3 is made out of a ceramic and a sapphire polished back case. It supports Huawei’s newly upgraded TruSeen™ 4.5 heart rate monitoring technology. It also features a 6-in-1 LED lens and a design that allows for more light intake. HUAWEI WATCH 3 allows for better light penetration, lower power performance, as well as a comfortable wearing experience. This greatly improves the heart rate monitoring accuracy of the Huawei Watch 3.

24-hour continuous heart rate monitoring allows users to learn about their heart rate in real time. In addition to automatic continuous SpO2 monitoring, Huawei Watch 3 users take single measurements as well. Other favorite features of mine would be the Huawei TruSleep, which monitors our sleep quality, stress monitoring, and some breathing exercises.

Ultra-Long Battery Life
The Huawei Watch 3 can achieve 3-day long battery life in smart mode. Here you can access the full capacity and potential of the Huawei Watch 3. No restrictions on the watch faces, you can make enjoy the smooth graphics and transitions that the HarmonyOS provides the Huawei Watch 3. Continuous heart rate monitoring and other monitoring features of the watch will be running as well.

There's another option is the Ultra Long Battery Life mode. When activated, app access and some features like the Wifi and mobile data will be disabled. You also can't change watch faces and the menu will be more simple compared to the other one where you see an app bubble on your watch menu.
Similar to the Huawei Watch GT series which can last you up to 14 days of no charge, the Huawei Watch 3 is also based on the dual-core architecture where the two chips jointly power the display and switch seamlessly enabling high performance while saving power.

It comes with its own wireless charger as well. You can also use previous Huawei Watch GT chargers (those without pins) to wirelessly charge your Huawei Watch 3. You can also use other wireless chargers or do a reverse charge from your tablet or phone.

Install Apps on your Huawei Watch 3.
AppGallery is also made available for users of the Huawei Watch 3. Here you can choose apps for your phone from fitness, sports, health, maps, music, and games. A few more updates then maybe this can play videos too. :)

Wish 107.5 all is also searchable on the Huawei Watch 3 AppGallery so you can listen to your favorite music streamed from one of the hottest radio stations in the Philippines. Who would have thought you can enjoy music everywhere you go and listen from your wrist?! Definitely one of the many exciting innovations Huawei was able to pack into a smartwatch that already has so many features.

And also, games?!

My favorite features of the Huawei Watch 3:
  1. Find my phone - you can't imagine how many times I lose my phone on piles and piles of stuff then finding it just under my nose. This, I use on a daily basis. Convenient and easy.
  2. Waterproof - Take it swimming or showering, the Huawei Watch 3 is so versatile and has a sweat-resistant material guaranteeing you proper functioning whatever activity you might have.
  3. Watch Faces - Hey, I'm all for customization, anything that we can do to make it our own and personalize, I'm going for a thumbs up.
  4. More Apps - Music streaming by Wish 107.5 FM and more to come is definitely a nice feature to have on your wrist. Having maps is also a nice feature. JoyRide, a travel partner will also be available soon.
  5. Health & Wellness - Sleep tracking, heart rate and SpO2 monitoring is something that is really useful these days. Making sure that we get those quality rests and recoveries, monitoring stress, oxygen, and heart rate are data we often neglect until we have to monitor is.
