Here we go people, I present to you the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14. Ever since ASUS launched its first Asus ZenBook Duo back in 2019 during Computex in Taiwan, this has been one of the most anticipated laptops and most talked about ZenBook yet.

The second wave of the Duo is the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14, and is about to launch here in the Philippines. We were able to get our hands on it and we have our first impressions in and it's looking pretty good. First of, let's talk about the design and built.
That majestic finish in celestial blue, the ZenBook Duo 14 chassis is made out of magnesium alloy. Weighing only 1.6 kg, the the ZenBook Duo 14 is not heavy to carry, it's actually light for for what it packs. No hassle in carrying it around and easy to work and go. It is actually 50 grams lighter & 3mm thinner than previous generation. The really nice laptop sleeves that comes with it is also thick enough to protect laptop for any hits and bumps.

On my previous post, we did an unboxing of the Asus ZenBook Duo 14 here. Inside the box, you get some paper works, you get the Duo stand, the 65W USB-C charger and also the ASUS Pen. Inclusions like the stand and pen are not your usual bundle when you purchase other laptops but this one does. It definitely raises the user experience more whole, you don't need to spend additional to get these.

The ASUS ZenBook series is known for its durability. The ASUS ZenBook Duo passed multiple military grade durability tests like humidity, altitude, vibration, high and low temperature and also shock test.
All those outer laptop, packs two laptop screens in case you haven't figured it out it. The main display is a 14in fullHD nano edge display with a 4mmmmm thin bezel gibing it a 93% screen to body ratio. THe secondary screen is 12.6 inch display just above the keyboard which is also significantly improved with the screenpad plus and the updated design.
The dual screen alone is already a big come on for creators and power multi-taskers. The secondary screen serves as an extension of the monitor to place more apps & other settings to make the experience more fluid and productive. The secondary screen automatically tilt up to 7 degrees for an improved readability. Using the duo stand that comes with the box, it makes it a whole lot convenient when you use the Asus stylus for work.
The two displays are touch screen. Users can use the Asus pen or their fingers to adjust the different touch features. The screenPad+ now has ScreenXpert 2, It has some handy quick controls designed to give you an edge in workflow efficiency. Fully customizable dials and buttons which you can use on applications like Adobe Premiere, Lightroom classic and after effects.
The quick controls works seamlessly with the main display. Aside for this features, where else do yo think the secondary screen would come in handy? Well, let's say you're in a zoom meeting and you want to take notes? Easy, just pop the notepad or word on the secondary scree and also switch windows with a touch of a button. Heavy Multi-taskers can have multiple applications open for work and other projects. Play music, videos, and others.
The ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 and the NVIDIA MX GeForce 450. While the laptop itself is lighter that expected, it's actually a heavyweight in performance. Combine it with plenty of fast RAM of 16GBLPDDR4x on board (which is also upgradable to up to 32GB). It has Iris® Xe and an ultrafast PCIe® SSD to ensure fast boot times and rapid app loads.
For audio, ASUS has worked with Harman Kardon creating the latest ASUS SonicMaster audio technology giving you amazing audio quality. Great hardware and software producing the best sound ever heard from a laptop. So you're assured that you can hear the right audio level for the videos that you are creating. If you're more of a wired headphones kind of guy, then you'd be happy to know that this one has an audio jack. Yey!
Users can also enjoy next-generation connectivity. he ZenBook Duo 14 has comprehensive high-performance I/O capabilities including a part of the latest Thunderbolt 4 USB-C. These support Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the 40 Gbps bandwidth lets you connect an external 8K display or two 4K UHD displays. ZenBook Duo 14 also includes WiFi 6 (802.11ax), enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master Premium technology, so you can easily create and share on the go. These ports will really come in handy, for the creators' external hardware's like memory card, hard drives and extending the display.
While there might be a lot going on, you can still get a full sized keyboard that is chiclet type and backlit. Key-travel is also nice at 1.4mm. The touchpad was moved on the right side of the keyboard which is a nice alternative location from the center one. While others might find this a little weird because it's on the right, others will get used to it very quickly.

For the battery you have a 70 watt hours battery. You can push it to 17 hours all day productivity depending on use. I used it the whole day with out charging and it seems to hold enough juice to last you a full creative work or a couple more.
I think the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 being called as the laptop of tomorrow lives up to its name. The screen pad plus truly makes it unique and a worthy buy. Great for creators may it be photos, videos or design, this will surely deliver the much needed performance. For video edits, it renders fast. It's very efficient and the 16GB RAM truly makes a difference combined with the 1TB/512GB M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD

As for the price, let's wait for the launch as we are also excited to know how much would this incredible product cost.
