SMAC Lets Filipinos Earn Rewards from Travel, Fuel, and Everyday Essentials in 2026

In today’s uncertain climate, many Filipinos are prioritizing essentials over extras. But even as budgets tighten, unavoidable trips, whether for travel, errands, or family needs continue to happen.

This is where the SM Advantage Card (SMAC) steps in, turning everyday spending into meaningful rewards that can be used long after the trip is done.

From fueling up for a provincial drive to booking flights or accommodations, SMAC members can now earn points in places they wouldn’t normally expect making every necessary expense feel a little more rewarding.

For road travelers, every ₱300 spent at Shell earns 1 SMAC point, helping fuel up journeys while building future shopping savings. Meanwhile, frequent flyers can convert travel loyalty perks into SMAC Points, with PAL Mabuhay Miles allowing 500 miles to be exchanged for 200 SMAC points, and AirAsia Rewards offering 500 points for 125 SMAC points.

Accommodation bookings also become more rewarding. Through Trip.com (via the SMAC website), every ₱250 spent earns 1 SMAC point. For local stays, SM Hotels offers double SMAC points for every ₱200 spent on direct bookings until May 31, 2026. Guests at Okada Manila can also enjoy perks and earn points until July 31, 2026.

What makes SMAC even more compelling is its simple value: 1 SMAC Point = 1 Peso. These points can be used like cash across participating SM Retail partners, including the SM Store, SM Markets, and select Alfamart branches.

Members can also maximize everyday shopping with perks such as a free 5L Orocan cooler at Waltermart Supermarket and exclusive discounts on select items at Surplus until April 30, 2026.

For those not yet part of the program, joining is easy via the SMAC&SHOP app, where users can register for free, track points in real time, shop online, and unlock app-exclusive offers. New users can start with SMAC Start and immediately begin earning points.

As an added bonus, users can also win up to ₱1,000 SMAC points daily through the app’s “Play” feature until May 10, 2026.
