foodpanda Philippines Doubles Labor Day Tips Nationwide to Support Riders Through Panda-Malasakit Project

This Labor Day on May 1, foodpanda Philippines is putting appreciation into action by doubling in-app tips for its Ka-panda partner riders nationwide, as part of its continuing commitment to ease the impact of rising daily costs and recognize the people who keep everyday life moving.

Rolled out across the country, the initiative invites customers to show gratitude through in-app tipping, with foodpanda matching every tip given. This means riders receive double the amount of support, with 100% of all tips going directly to them. More than just deliveries, riders remain a vital link in communities bringing food, convenience, and care to households across the Philippines.
“Our partner riders are the backbone of our business, and on Labor Day, we want their rewards to reflect their resilience,” said Patricia Jacinto, Growth and Marketing Director of foodpanda Philippines. “By doubling tips, we are joining forces with our customers to ensure that every Ka-panda feels the full weight of the country’s gratitude. In the face of rising costs, we aren't just moving food—we’re moving forward together.”

The initiative is part of the ongoing Panda-Malasakit Project, a purpose-driven campaign designed to support riders, customers, and partners amid economic pressures. Built on the belief that every order can create meaningful impact, the project combines matched tipping with on-ground support efforts across the foodpanda ecosystem.

As foodpanda continues expanding programs under the initiative, it reinforces its commitment to strengthening rider welfare and supporting the communities it serves, one delivery at a time.
