Global apparel retailer UNIQLO introduces its newest designer collaboration with acclaimed Danish womenswear designer Cecilie Bahnsen for the 2026 Spring/Summer season, launching a fresh take on modern femininity through the lens of everyday LifeWear.
Titled “Shapes of Poetry,” the collection merges Cecilie Bahnsen’s signature romantic aesthetic—known for floral motifs, airy volume, and delicate craftsmanship—with UNIQLO’s commitment to comfort, simplicity, and functional design. The result is a wearable, elevated wardrobe that feels as effortless as it is expressive.
Cecilie Bahnsen shared her excitement about the collaboration, noting how her design philosophy naturally aligns with UNIQLO’s LifeWear vision. She emphasized that her pieces are meant to be lived in daily, and expressed joy in bringing that shared idea of accessible, beautiful clothing to women and girls around the world. She also highlighted the emotional connection behind the campaign, which celebrates sisterhood and everyday elegance.
From UNIQLO’s side, Fast Retailing Senior Executive Officer and Head of R&D Yukihiro Katsuta reflected on his long-standing admiration for Bahnsen’s craftsmanship, recalling their early connection in Copenhagen and the shared journey that eventually led to this collaboration. The collection reinterprets Bahnsen’s handcrafted sensibility through UNIQLO’s minimalist, functional lens.
The collection features dresses, tops, and skirts designed with signature details such as voluminous sleeves, soft frills, and shirring. Each piece can be worn individually for a subtle statement or styled as coordinated sets. Premium cotton and stretch materials ensure comfort remains central to every design.
A standout highlight of this release is Cecilie Bahnsen’s first-ever girls’ line, created as an extension of the adult collection. Inspired by her experience as a mother, the line includes dresses, T-shirts, and skorts designed for comfort, playfulness, and matching moments. The skort, in particular, features adjustable waist details and practical side pockets for everyday ease.
The UNIQLO x Cecilie Bahnsen 2026 Spring/Summer Collection launches on May 22, 2026 (Friday) and will be available at all UNIQLO stores nationwide, select styles on UNIQLO.com and the UNIQLO app, with full collection availability in flagship locations including UNIQLO Manila Global Flagship Store, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Greenhills, and BGC High Street.
