At CES 2026, LG Electronics (LG) introduced a new way to experience sound at home with the LG Sound Suite, a modular home audio system designed to make immersive entertainment easier and more adaptable to everyday living spaces. At the center of the system is the H7 soundbar, the world’s first soundbar powered by Dolby Atmos® FlexConnect™, delivering cinematic audio that intelligently adjusts to a room’s layout without the complicated setup traditionally associated with home theater systems.
Designed for modern homes where flexibility matters, the LG Sound Suite works seamlessly with LG’s premium TVs and allows users to mix and match wireless components such as the M7 and M5 surround speakers and the W7 subwoofer. Whether starting with a simple setup or building a full 13.1.7-channel home theater, users can choose from 27 possible configurations to suit their space and lifestyle. When paired with the H7 soundbar, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect can also work with any TV via HDMI, expanding compatibility for different home entertainment setups. LG also plans to bring Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to its 2026 premium TV lineup and select 2025 models through a future software update.
As streaming continues to redefine how people enjoy movies, shows, music, and sports at home, high-quality audio is once again becoming a centerpiece of the living room experience. LG Sound Suite responds to this shift by combining wireless convenience, immersive sound, and intelligent audio tuning, making premium surround sound more accessible for everyday entertainment from movie nights to gaming sessions and weekend binge-watching.
LG enhances this experience further with Sound Follow, which uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to adjust the listening sweet spot based on the user’s location in the room. Meanwhile, Room Calibration Pro analyzes a room’s acoustics and uses AI processing to create balanced, room-filling sound tailored to the environment.
Powering the H7 soundbar is the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same processor found in LG’s flagship OLED TVs. With AI Sound Pro+, stereo audio can be up-mixed into immersive spatial sound, while AI-powered object separation ensures voices, music, and sound effects remain clear and balanced. The system can also automatically adapt audio performance based on the type of content being played.
All LG Sound Suite components are equipped with Peerless speaker units, known globally for over a century of high-performance audio craftsmanship. By combining Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, AI-driven tuning, and modular wireless design, LG aims to deliver a new level of personalized home audio.
“Together with Dolby, we’ve made immersive audio flexible for every home. LG Sound Suite combines Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with wireless modular design and AI-driven tuning, so consumers can create the system they want and enjoy cinematic sound from any seat,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of the Audio Business Division at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
“Dolby and LG are unlocking a new level of audio flexibility for anyone who wants to enjoy better sound with Dolby Atmos,” added John Couling, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Dolby Laboratories.
LG Sound Suite will be showcased at CES 2026 from January 6–9 at LG’s booth, highlighting the company’s latest innovations in home entertainment technology.
