The year is off to a strong start for EastWest Ageas as the fast-growing insurance provider earned two Gold and two Silver trophies at the 61st ANVIL Awards held on January 28. The recognition marks the company’s biggest achievement yet at the prestigious awards program, which celebrates the most effective and innovative public relations campaigns in the country.
Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, the ANVIL Awards gathered nearly 200 organizations and more than 600 entries in 2026, highlighting the best communication initiatives across industries.
Among the standout campaigns recognized during the ceremony was EastWest Ageas’ “For Your PURPLE” brand campaign, which received both Gold and Silver trophies in the Marketing and Brand Communication and Corporate Identity/Branding categories. The campaign reflects the company’s focus on purpose-driven protection and meaningful financial planning for Filipinos. According to NielsenIQ data, the campaign boosted EastWest Ageas’ brand awareness score from 12% to 22%, marking the fastest brand health growth among local insurance providers.
The company also received a Gold trophy in the Employee Engagement category for its “PURPLE AI Toolkit,” an AI-powered platform designed to support employees and financial advisors. By integrating machine learning into everyday processes, the toolkit helps improve efficiency and allows teams to better serve customers through more personalized insurance solutions.
Meanwhile, the agency recruitment campaign “Pursuit of PURPLE” earned a Silver trophy in the Change Communication category. The initiative encouraged aspiring financial consultants to build meaningful careers with EastWest Ageas while making a positive impact on the lives of Filipino families.
“With these recognitions, we know that our PURPLE story, the story of purpose and people has made its mark in an industry full of established players,” said Chief Distribution and Marketing Officer Greg Martin. “We continue to challenge the norm with ideas that are clear, compelling, and future-ready, especially for our employees and sales teams.”
For President and CEO Sjoerd Smeets, the awards represent more than industry recognition. “This is our third consecutive year participating in the ANVIL Awards, and we thank everyone who made these wins possible. Being recognized alongside respected organizations is an honor, and it reminds us of our responsibility to provide meaningful service that goes beyond award-winning campaigns.”
The company’s strong showing at the ANVIL Awards reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting customers and empowering employees. With these recognitions, EastWest Ageas aims to continue connecting with more Filipinos throughout 2026 through initiatives focused on protection, purpose, and long-term financial security.
