The magic of the Wizarding World is getting a legendary new sound. HBO has officially announced that Academy Award® winner Hans Zimmer, alongside the Emmy®-winning collective Bleeding Fingers, will compose the original score for the highly anticipated HBO Original Harry Potter series.
Known for his iconic work on Interstellar, Dune, and The Lion King, Zimmer’s involvement signals a grand, cinematic approach to this new era of the beloved franchise. This "faithful adaptation" of the original books by J.K. Rowling aims to introduce Harry, Ron, and Hermione to a new generation while maintaining the depth and wonder that fans have cherished for decades. The series is currently slated for a worldwide debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
This collaboration between Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers promises to bring a fresh, modern, yet timeless auditory landscape to Hogwarts.
