OPPO and Google Cloud Redefine AIOS with Smarter Memory and Privacy-First AI

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve from a helpful feature into an everyday companion, OPPO is shaping a future where smartphones understand users on a deeper, more personal level. At the recent Google Cloud Export Summit in Beijing, OPPO unveiled its vision for the next generation AI Operating System (AIOS), made possible through its strategic collaboration with Google Cloud. At the heart of this roadmap are two guiding principles: Memory Symbiosis and Privacy Protection.

“True AI is about understanding people,” said Haonan Lu, Head of Large Model Algorithms at OPPO. “Together with Google Cloud, we are shaping OPPO AI into a truly personalized intelligent companion, one that understands, anticipates, and serves users in a powerful yet intuitive way.” He added that a meaningful AIOS goes beyond adding smart features, instead adapting to individual habits and needs to become a reliable daily partner.
While smartphones today offer an increasing number of AI-powered tools, users still encounter three key challenges: remembering information, finding it quickly, and receiving help before they even ask. OPPO’s next-generation AIOS addresses these pain points by integrating memory as a core system layer rather than an add-on feature.

To support information retention, OPPO has globally introduced AI Mind Space, a system-level memory hub that acts as a “second brain.” It intelligently organizes content from text, images, and voice interactions, allowing users to revisit important information effortlessly. Built with Google Gemini, AI Mind Space delivers personalized answers based on memories stored securely on OPPO devices.
Finding information is also becoming more natural. Through enhanced AI Search, developed with Google Cloud, users can search seamlessly across apps using everyday language, eliminating the need to remember where content was saved. Meanwhile, AI Suggest takes personalization further by combining real-time on-device context with stored memory data to proactively offer timely and relevant recommendations.

These capabilities work together within a privacy-first framework. AI Search relies on local memory for personalized retrieval, while AI Suggest generates insights based on user behavior patterns, without compromising data security. All processes are anchored in OPPO’s commitment to safeguarding user information.

As AI becomes deeply embedded in daily life, privacy remains essential to earning user trust. To address this, OPPO introduced its Private Computing Cloud (PCC) architecture, a secure cloud extension of AIOS. Built on Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing technology, PCC enables powerful cloud-based AI processing while ensuring data remains protected and inaccessible to unauthorized parties.

Beyond technology, OPPO believes innovation thrives through collaboration. Its AI strategy is guided by New Computing, New Perception, and New Ecosystem, supported by on-device computing, the PersonaX memory symbiosis engine, and the Agent Matrix framework. Through open partnerships, including its work with Google Cloud, OPPO is advancing Agent-to-Agent interoperability, breaking down app barriers and enabling seamless, cross-scenario intelligent experiences.

Together, OPPO and Google Cloud are building a privacy-centric AI infrastructure rooted in user trust, paving the way for a more personalized, intuitive, and intelligent AIOS for the future.
