Lalamove, the Philippines' leading on-demand delivery platform, announced it extended immediate and sustained logistical support to communities severely impacted by the recent Northern Cebu Earthquakes. The company provided crucial humanitarian aid and delivery services for a full month following the disaster.
In a significant effort to ensure aid reached those most affected, Lalamove leveraged its expansive fleet to partner with various non-profit organizations, providing direct assistance to the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Bogo City, Tuburan, and San Remigio. Key partners included the Cebu People's Action Center, Philippine Red Cross, and Kaabag Mandaue.
Multiple Lalamove trucks and motorcycles were deployed to transport essential goods, including blankets, sleeping mats, bottled water, food packs, and medical supplies, directly to the devastated areas.
Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines, underscored the company's continuous commitment to effective disaster response: “In times of crises, Lalamove is always on standby to provide much-needed assistance to transport aid to affected communities, even in Cebu. Since Lalamove is already present in the province, we acted swiftly and reached out to relevant stakeholders to help with their relief efforts in areas that needed immediate attention.”
The platform's capability proved critical, as confirmed by partners on the ground. Ruben Licera Jr., Cebu Provincial Head for Special Projects and Executive Director of the Cebu People’s Action Center, stated, “We were facing challenges on how to reach the affected communities due to lack of vehicles. But thankfully, Lalamove reached out to us to offer their trucks and vehicles so we can deliver aid in different areas who were hit by the earthquake.”
The Go-To Logistical Partner for Cebuano ReliefHaving operated in Cebu since 2018, Lalamove has cemented its reputation as the top-of-mind truck delivery platform for relief operations in the region. Lalamove's robust network of partner drivers and its wide range of vehicles—from motorcycles to 6-wheel trucks—make it the essential go-to solution for LGUs, organizations, and communities needing reliable transport for aid during calamities.
Cebuano partner drivers were consistently at the forefront of the relief operations, ensuring a timely and meaningful impact on their own communities. This proactive role mirrors Lalamove’s prior support during the devastating Typhoon Odette in 2021. Lalamove remains dedicated to empowering local partners and providing vital logistics support to both consumers and businesses across the province.
