MANILA, PHILIPPINES – November 18, 2025 – China Banking Corporation (Chinabank) today announced a major leap in its digital transformation strategy by becoming one of the first Philippine banks to enable Google Pay for its entire card portfolio, encompassing both Credit and Debit Cards across Mastercard and Visa payment schemes.

This landmark integration allows Chinabank cardholders to immediately enjoy secure, contactless, and highly convenient tap-to-pay functionality and secure online checkouts using the Google Wallet app on their Android devices.

Seamless Onboarding for Customers

Chinabank is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for its cardholders. Adding a Chinabank card is a simple, multi-step process within the Google Wallet app:

• Download and open Google Wallet from the Playstore.
• Tap “Add to Wallet” and select “Payment Card.”
• Scan or manually enter Chinabank Credit or Debit Card details.
• Follow the on-screen prompts for verification.

Once verified, customers can make purchases in-store by simply unlocking their phone and holding it near any contactless payment terminal, or choose Google Pay at online checkouts.
