Global smart device leader OPPO unveiled its latest breakthroughs in on-device artificial intelligence during the Snapdragon Summit 2025 in Beijing, setting new standards for mobile AI performance. In close partnership with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., OPPO optimized the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform to deliver unmatched processing speeds, long-context understanding, and highly secure AI experiences that enhance everyday life.
At the Snapdragon Summit, OPPO showcased its ability to process over 200 tokens per second on-device, the fastest announced inference performance in the industry to date. Thanks to parallel decoding architecture and extensive Snapdragon platform optimizations, this innovation provides an eightfold boost in decoding acceleration compared to the previous generation. The system can generate a full page of text in under two seconds, enabling real-time applications such as content creation and multilingual translation with minimal latency. Unlike traditional cloud-based services, these capabilities operate directly on the device, ensuring efficiency, speed, and data privacy.
Another breakthrough demonstrated was OPPO’s long-context acceleration technology, allowing devices to handle context lengths of up to 128K tokens—equivalent to analyzing 300 pages of text or about 200,000 words entirely on-device. This advancement is particularly valuable for professionals in law, medicine, and research, who can now process complex materials without relying on cloud services. By keeping sensitive data local, OPPO guarantees higher levels of privacy and security while still enabling powerful AI-driven workflows.
