The HONOR Pad GT2 Pro is now official with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a smoother 165Hz display, and upgraded features built for gaming and entertainment.
HONOR has officially introduced the Pad GT2 Pro, its latest gaming-focused tablet that takes performance and display quality to a new level. Following the success of the Pad GT Pro last year, this new model builds on its predecessor's strengths with significant upgrades that cater to both gamers and entertainment enthusiasts.
At first glance, the HONOR Pad GT2 Pro looks sleek and modern, available in Ice Crystal White and Phantom Gray. It's slightly heavier than the previous model at 580g, but still impressively slim at just 5.8mm thick. This balance of size and portability makes it ideal for both handheld gaming and media consumption on the go.
One of the biggest highlights of the GT2 Pro is its stunning 12.3-inch display. HONOR has pushed the refresh rate from 144Hz to an ultra-smooth 165Hz, which makes gameplay and scrolling feel incredibly fluid. The tablet is even optimized to run games like CrossFire: Gunfight King at a full 165fps, something mobile gamers will definitely appreciate. While the exact screen resolution hasn’t been confirmed, it’s expected to be similar to the previous model’s 3,000 x 1,920 pixels, delivering a sharp and vibrant viewing experience.
Under the hood, the HONOR Pad GT2 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, an upgrade from last year’s 8s Gen 3. This is a serious jump in performance, making multitasking smoother and gaming more responsive. Whether you're editing content, streaming, or diving into high-performance games, the Pad GT2 Pro can handle it all. You can choose from RAM and storage configurations of 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, or 16GB/512GB, giving users the flexibility to pick the version that suits their needs.
The battery has been slightly increased to 10,100mAh, which should offer more hours of use whether you're gaming, binge-watching shows, or browsing the web. There’s no official word yet on the charging speed, but the previous model supported 66W fast charging, so we can expect something similar or better.
Another key feature is the tablet’s audio system. Like its predecessor, the Pad GT2 Pro is equipped with 8 IMAX Enhanced speakers for a more immersive sound experience, whether you're watching movies or gaming with friends. The addition of a haptic feedback engine also makes interactions feel more dynamic, especially during gameplay.
Cooling is also improved this time around, thanks to the inclusion of graphene-based materials. This helps manage heat during long gaming sessions, allowing you to stay in the zone without worrying about performance drops.
The HONOR Pad GT2 Pro is scheduled to go on sale in China starting July 28, and pre-orders are now open on HONOR’s online store. Early bird pricing is currently available, making it a great time to grab this powerhouse tablet if you’re looking to upgrade your gaming or media setup.
Stay tuned for updates in case this gets a Philippine release.
