Jollibee and DreamWorks Team Up for Global ‘Forgotten Island’ Campaign Celebrating Friendship and Filipino Culture
Jollibee has announced a global partnership with DreamWorks Animation for the theatrical release of Forgotten Island, an original animated feature celebrating friendship, family, and Filipino mythology.
Directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado—the filmmaking team behind Puss in Boots: The Last Wish—the film follows lifelong best friends Jo (voiced by Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R.) and Raissa (voiced by Liza Soberano). The two discover a portal to Nakali, a magical island inhabited by mythical creatures from Filipino folklore. Joined by allies like the weredog Raww (Dave Franco), they must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Lea Salonga) and find a way home before losing all memories of their friendship. The international voice cast also features Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Jenny Slate, and Ronny Chieng.
