We dropped by HoYo FEST 2025 at SMX Manila to check out the exclusive merch, Artist Alley, and stage shows. Here’s what went down at the fifth-year celebration of the HoYoverse.
HoYo FEST 2025 officially opened today at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Hall 3, marking its fifth year of bringing HoYoverse fans together. Running from July 24 to 27, 2025, the event features a more expansive setup this year, combining merchandise, fan showcases, and interactive experiences that highlight the growing HoYoverse community in the Philippines.
One of the first things we noticed as we walked in was how the event felt a little more thoughtfully designed this year. The hall wasn’t overwhelming but had enough to keep you moving around, from photo spots and themed booths to merch counters and stage shows. If you're a fan of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, or even Zenless Zone Zero, this is a fun place to explore and connect with the fandom.
The highlight for me was the new Artist Alley, which featured local artists selling HoYoverse-inspired merch, from prints and stickers to handmade accessories and fan-made zines. It was great seeing homegrown talent get the spotlight they deserve. I even bought a cute Genshin-themed keychain from a local illustrator I follow on Instagram. The Artist Alley was not just a nice addition; it gave the event a more community-focused feel.
There were also exclusive freebies and official merchandise available, featuring items from all the major HoYoverse titles. The merch line started getting long by mid-afternoon, so if you're planning to buy something, it’s best to arrive early. A new addition this year was the stage segment, which featured cosplayers, performers, and fan artists showcasing their talents. There was also a game segment where guests could participate and win prizes. It added a fun, interactive element that encouraged people to stay longer and enjoy more than just shopping.

Overall, HoYo FEST 2025 was a casual but enjoyable experience. It didn’t feel too commercial or overwhelming, and there was a good balance of fandom energy and relaxed exploration. As a lifestyle blogger who also enjoys gaming, it was refreshing to see how the community continues to grow without losing its charm.
If you’re in Manila and have time between July 24 to 27, drop by SMX Hall 3 from 10:00AM to 8:00PM. You don’t have to be a hardcore fan to enjoy the event; there’s something to appreciate, whether you’re here for the art, the merch, or just the vibes.
