Motorola has launched the Edge 2025 in the U.S. with a stunning 6.7-inch display, triple 50MP cameras, Moto AI features, a powerful MediaTek chipset, and a 5,200mAh battery for $549.
Motorola has officially introduced the Motorola Edge 2025 to the U.S. market, continuing its momentum in the midrange phone category. Priced at $549, the new Edge delivers a compelling combination of advanced hardware, smart AI features, and a sleek design — all wrapped in a new Deep Forest colorway.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Edge 2025 is its 6.7-inch LTPS Super HD pOLED display, which offers a high 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Motorola promises enhanced contrast and 13% more resolution compared to the previous model, making visuals pop whether you're streaming, gaming, or scrolling. The curved-edge screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, offering improved durability for everyday use.
One of the biggest highlights of this phone is the camera system. The Edge 2025 features a triple rear camera setup, all driven by smart image processing and AI. It includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main sensor with OIS for sharp, detailed photos, a 50MP ultra-wide lens offering a 122° field of view, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. For selfies, there’s an impressive 50MP front-facing camera, which also benefits from Motorola’s Photo Enhancement Engine. This AI-powered feature reduces noise, sharpens detail, and enhances dynamic range, giving users cleaner, brighter photos.
The Edge 2025 is also packed with smart software, including Moto AI, first seen on Motorola's 2025 Razr models. There's now a dedicated AI key on the side of the phone to access features like Pay Attention, which records and summarizes conversations, and Next Move, which suggests smart actions based on what’s on your screen. On top of that, the phone supports Google’s AI tools like Gemini Live, Magic Editor, Circle to Search, and Magic Eraser, built right into Android 15, which comes preinstalled.
Under the hood, the device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The combination ensures smooth performance for everyday use, multitasking, and mobile gaming, with the Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU handling graphics.
Battery life is another strong suit. Motorola claims the 5,200mAh battery can power the phone for up to two full days. When it’s time to recharge, the phone supports 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging, getting you back to full power quickly.
Durability has also been given special attention. The Motorola Edge 2025 boasts an IP68 and IP69 rating, meaning it's water- and dust-resistant and even protected against high-pressure water jets. It's also MIL-STD-810H certified, making it more resistant to drops, shocks, and extreme conditions.
Other features include Wi-Fi 6E, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an under-display fingerprint sensor, dual SIM support (nano + eSIM), and NFC for contactless payments.
At just 181g and with a slim profile of 7.99mm, the Edge 2025 brings a great balance of performance, style, and durability to the midrange segment. It's a promising option for anyone looking for a modern smartphone with top-tier camera hardware, AI-powered tools, and solid day-to-day performance, all without breaking the bank
