Discover Puregold Channel's latest digital series Si Sol at Si Luna, starring Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza. A powerful love story that explores grief, timing, and transformation.
Puregold Channel continues to elevate the digital entertainment landscape with its latest original series, Si Sol at Si Luna, marking another major milestone following its widely praised shows My Plantito and Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile. Officially launched during a dazzling press conference on May 16 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, this new series is a bold leap forward in the brand’s journey as a formidable player in Filipino “retailtainment.”
In Si Sol at Si Luna, audiences will see former child stars Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza take on their most emotionally demanding roles yet. The series allows both actors to shed their youthful personas in favor of characters shaped by depth, maturity, and vulnerability. For Jaranilla in particular, this marks a career-defining moment, as he takes on his first-ever intimate scene—an artistic risk that underscores the show's willingness to explore real and raw emotional terrain.
But this isn't just another romantic drama. What sets Si Sol at Si Luna apart is its fearless dive into deeper themes such as grief, transformation, and the painful truths that come with love found at the wrong time. The narrative follows Sol, a passionate film student, as he becomes entangled with Luna, an older woman haunted by emotional wounds. Their relationship is not wrapped in fantasy but grounded in the very human struggle of navigating connection amid chaos and pain.
According to Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold’s Senior Marketing Manager, the series is designed to provoke thought as much as it inspires emotion. “At its core, the series is about love—but not the kind that comes easy,” she explains. “Luna’s journey is about loving through grief, and Sol’s is about loving through self-discovery. The real question we’re asking is—can love survive when it arrives at the most inconvenient moment?”
By launching Si Sol at Si Luna, Puregold Channel further establishes itself as a rising creative studio that merges commercial relevance with storytelling bravery. The series is a perfect blend of rich character development, resonant writing, and culturally grounded themes. It’s a space where short-form convenience meets long-form emotional impact, and where Filipino audiences—no matter where they are in the world—can see their lives reflected onscreen.
Excitement was palpable at the series’ unveiling, with lead stars Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza joined by a stellar supporting cast including Joao Constancia, Uzziel Delamide, Vaughn Piczon, Lyle Viray, Jem Manicad, Marnie Lapus, and breakout talent Atasha Franco. Each cast member adds depth and dimension to a narrative that refuses to take shortcuts in telling the truth about human connection.
The premiere episode of Si Sol at Si Luna is set to drop on the official Puregold Channel on YouTube on May 31, with new episodes airing every Saturday.
