Gaming has become more accessible than ever, and ASUS is making sure that even budget-conscious gamers can enjoy high-performance hardware without overspending. On May 6, 2025, ASUS officially launched two new laptops under its gaming series: the ASUS Gaming V16 (V3607) and ASUS Gaming X16 (K3605). These new models are designed for gamers who are just starting out or want a reliable gaming laptop at a more affordable price.
ASUS positions the new Gaming Series as a way to connect casual players with pro-level features, bridging the gap between entry-level and high-performance gaming. According to ASUS Philippines Business Development Manager Harrison Cheng, the new lineup reflects the brand’s continued support for the growing gaming community, promising devices that support every stage of a gamer's journey.
The ASUS Gaming V16 and X16 come with sleek and lightweight designs. The V16 has a Matte Black chassis, weighs 1.95kg, and is 1.8cm thin, while the X16 comes in at 1.8kg and 1.89cm thin, finished in Indie Black. Despite their compact form, these laptops are equipped with hardware strong enough to run today’s popular games smoothly.
Both laptops feature a 16-inch Full HD IPS display in a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a high 144Hz refresh rate and an 89% screen-to-body ratio, making the display feel more immersive and responsive. The screens are paired with Dirac audio technology and ASUS Audio Booster, delivering clearer and more dynamic in-game sound.
Under the hood, the V16 and X16 are powered by up to Intel Core 5 (Series 2) processors, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, ranging from the RTX 3050 up to the RTX 5060. The top configurations also include up to 16GB DDR5 memory and 512GB of SSD storage, which are ideal for gaming, multitasking, and faster load times.
To enhance user experience, ASUS has added several thoughtful features, including a larger touchpad, the ASUS ErgoSense keyboard with Turbo Blue backlighting, and transparent WASD and arrow keys for better visibility. The X16 model also comes with an SD card reader, which could be useful for content creators or users who need quick file transfers.
Connectivity options on both models include USB Type-A and Type-C ports, HDMI, a combo audio jack, and DC-in jack, ensuring compatibility with most gaming accessories and displays.
For cooling and power efficiency, ASUS has equipped both laptops with IceCool Thermal Technology, which uses dual fans and heat pipes to maintain performance during long gaming sessions. A 63Wh battery helps support longer usage between charges, while MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability ensures the laptops can withstand daily use and travel.
The ASUS Gaming X16 is available starting at ₱49,995 with an RTX 3050 GPU, while the V16 starts at ₱59,995 for a configuration with RTX 4050 and 8GB RAM, and goes up to ₱74,995 for the RTX 5060 + 16GB RAM model.
To celebrate the launch, ASUS is running a promo from May 6 to June 15, 2025, where buyers will receive a free Genshin Impact mousepad when they purchase through ASUS and ROG Exclusive Stores. Each laptop also includes a free ASUS backpack, 2-year International Warranty, 1-year Accidental Damage Protection, and a 3-month PC Game Pass subscription.
With the V16 and X16, ASUS continues its goal of making gaming more approachable while keeping solid specs and smart design. Whether you’re just getting into gaming or want a secondary device that can still handle demanding titles, this new lineup offers a smart way to start your gaming setup.
