Canon Philippines unveils cost-effective PIXMA and MAXIFY printers with major ink price drops, helping local businesses boost productivity and cut printing costs.
At Canon Philippines’ latest event, it became clear that the brand is deeply committed to supporting Filipino small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Canon unveiled new additions to its trusted PIXMA and MAXIFY printer lines, designed to deliver fast, high-volume printing at a much lower cost. The goal? To help local businesses become more productive and efficient without overspending on operational expenses.

A standout announcement was Canon’s significant reduction in ink prices. The GI-71 series, compatible with PIXMA G1730, G2730, G3730, and G4770 printers, now comes with up to a 16% discount. Even more notably, the GI-76 Black ink for the MAXIFY GX series dropped by 44%, bringing the cost per print to just ₱0.058 for monochrome prints. These savings can make a real difference for SMEs printing in bulk.
During the event, Jian Liu, Director for Consumer Information and Imaging at Canon Philippines, shared that Canon’s mission is to help local businesses thrive through practical and affordable solutions. His statement aligns with the brand’s broader reputation for quality, which users trust globally.

Canon’s new and existing printer models are built to meet everyday business needs. They come with wireless connectivity, user-replaceable maintenance cartridges, and a durable build, making them a reliable choice for home offices and busy workspaces alike. These features are not just technical specs—they reflect real-world convenience and reliability. In fact, Cass Brion, the founder of Bibong Pinay Company, credited Canon’s printers with helping her support thousands of mom-led businesses across the Philippines.
Looking ahead, Canon also previewed three upcoming models in the MAXIFY MegaTank line—the GX7170, GX6170, and GX5170. These business-focused printers promise laser-like print sharpness, duplex (double-sided) printing, and the ability to produce up to 21,000 pages per full-color ink set. For SMEs managing tight budgets and heavy print loads, this kind of performance can translate to real savings and fewer frequent refills.
Canon backs its devices with a two-year warranty and a strong service network nationwide, giving business owners peace of mind. This after-sales support builds trust, reinforcing Canon’s position as a dependable partner for entrepreneurs.
From our experience at the event and from speaking with Canon representatives, it’s clear the company is not just selling printers—it’s investing in the success of local businesses. By making premium printing more accessible, Canon is helping Filipino SMEs work smarter, save more, and scale faster.
