[Gadget] Huawei Nova 2i is now here!

Just in case you missed it, Huawei dropped another smartphone just in time for the holidays. Unveiled at the Mall of Asia Atrium, the HUAWEI nova 2i is the first ever phone that has four cameras! Yes... four... no.. I'm serious... four cameras.

A Huawei first, the Nova 2i is a combination of performance and power. The Huawei Nova 2i is designed to keep up with today's leveled up selfie game, image capture and social network demands. Another first for Huawei is it first FullView Display at 5.9-inch screen giving an immersive viewing experience with crisp, clear and bright images.
I was able to play around with it for a bit and I do like the feel of the the FullView Display on a Huawei Mobile device. As I was reading on its fact sheet, I read that it has an impressive 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and an 18:9 aspect providing a beautiful widescreen viewing experience. Binge-watching movies and favorite TV series on this phone will be extra amazing.

Looking at the HUAWEI nova 2i’s sleek design, you can see that screen flows seamlessly into the curved edges of the body. Nothing new on its physical buttons like power button, volume rocker and the regular micro-USB port for charging. It has sensors and flash on front and rear. Having that fingerprint scanner at the back is also a nice touch. What's cool is the sensor utilizes machine learning to become more accurate and secure with every use.
Just a few years ago we were happy to have a camera on a phone. Then they added a camera at the front, then Huawei led the way for dual camera on the rear and not adding another camera on front. I can't keep up! Haha But I do understand this product move. Being the selfie capital of the world, Huawei nova 2i now features front and back dual-lens camera giving a full and exceptional photography experience.
The front-facing 13MP/2MP selfie camera takes portrait photography to the next level featuring a new Selfie Toning Flash which will give users studio quality lighting for more artistic and vibrant images. The rear-facing camera combines a 16MP lens and a 2MP lens. Both dual-lens cameras feature hardware-level bokeh for crisper, cleaner and more artistic photos and improved performance in low-light situations.

Check out the crowd turn-out during the launch.
People lined up early to be the first to own the Huawei nova 2i. Early customers also got to avail of the promo of free speaker with every purchase of the Huawei nova 2i and in just an hour, they sold out 1000 units! Crazy!

During the launch, they also launched Marlon Stockinger as their ambassador for Huawei Nova 2i.

As for the user experience and performance, well it's powered by an 8-core Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. Capable of multitasking several applications while streaming content, the Huawei nova 2i user experience is deeply integrated with Huawei's Android-7 based EMUI which is really cool because it utilizes machine learning optimizing the performance based on the user behavior. I just love the UX of Huawei devices. It has this smooth and seamless experience. The battery of the Huawei nova2i packs 3,340mAh, enough juice for you to do all the stuff you would need. The HUAWEI nova 2i also features the company’s proprietary Huawei Histen audio system to deliver extraordinary sound experiences for immersive video and gaming experiences.
The beautifully designed HUAWEI nova 2i can be purchased in graphite black, one of the three color variants that will be available in the Philippines.  Priced at Php 14,990, the Huawei Nova 2i can purchased via Huawei Experiences Stores and partner retailers nationwide.
