The Converse "Sneakers Clash' Begins!

The day clashed when sneakers poured, photos were drawn on and inks were splatted on shirts. It was Converse's "Sneaker Clash" last May 10 and the activity area of Ayala Fairview Terraces were filled with new Converse collections, brand ambassadors, fans of the brands and music/band enthusiasts.

The public event Sneaker Clash was a concept where we step away from the clean white shirts and sneakers and step into a kaleidoscopic world where there is a splash, blend and mix of colors turning into works of art.

The event also had the #PhotoClashPH where social media fanatics post their fun summer activities on Facebook with the hashtag that same day. The most creative photos was jazzed up bu artist CJ de Silva. I was surprised they chose my photo. :)

Kate Oliva, who is the marketing and advertising manager of Converse Philippines say that they will not only paint the town red but will also paint it in dazzling array of colors.

During the event, they showcased their Spring/Summer collection featuring brilliant and eye-popping colors. Definitely a time to smear, spray and jazz-up the flat, the monochromatic and the boring.

Converse also had a display there of Jack Purcells

Models strutted and showcased the latest collections and some jacks as well. You can see from the combination that there are a lot of options for us to choose from.

More photos. They also featured their bag collection and apparel.

During the event, Converse Philippines also invited some of the most in-demand bands in the country that include Gracenote, Peso Movement, Paranoid City and Stereodeal who are also brand ambassadors of these sneakers.

Michael Carandang was also in attendance who's also a brand ambassador of the jack Purcell Creative Curator. He is now based in the Philippines. He served as a producer of popular TV shows in the state, "The Tyra Banks Show" and "America's Next Top Model."

It sure was an afternoon of colors. I saw some sneakers which I really liked. The Spring / Summer collection had really nice designs and styles.

Here's the final design of my #PhotoClash photo by CJ de Silva. The other photo is the shirt I made inside the clash box.
