A few days ago, I got an invite from the group of Kaspersky Lab to attend their media launch of their newest consumer products that will surely change how we protect our files/date and money (online).

To those who doesn't know what Kaspersky is, Kaspersky Lab is a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions. All these years, they understand the importance of personal information and the digital media that we store online and on our PCs

Launching the latest of their products, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013, they bring into the table a comprehensive protection to the highest level, because as share by  Kaspersky Lab Southeast Asia Channel Sales Director Jimmy Fong,  Kaspersky know that at this age, cybercriminals directly target online banking stealing financial date etc, and social media accounts, etc. and also the data files that are also being destroyed in the process. He stresses the importance of safeguarding one’s “digital valuables”

Kaspersky Lab Southeast Asia Technical Specialist Jason Siew , emphasize the dangers of
cyber threat and how cybercriminals target financial and personal data

‘Safeguarding Me’ is Kaspersky's tagline for the new 2013 Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security. Kaspersky Lab strongly feels that with today’s cyber landscape, it is no longer impossible that  important file may be stolen from anyone and even be used against them. That is why Kaspersky encourage Filipinos to try their newest products.

So you ask how will Kaspersky counter such attacks with hundreds and thousands of virus coming out everyday? Kaspersky Lab developed a number of unique technologies to provide maximum protection for your digital assets. Such technologies were incorporated into the design and development of the 2013 versions of the Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

Here are the core benefits
* Unique Automatic Exploit Prevention technology designed to find the most dangerous threats
Kaspersky Lab has a vast experience in detecting and blocking exploits – malware that utilizes vulnerabilities in legitimate, but security-flawed software to infect the system. Based on this knowledge, Kaspersky Lab has created a new technology – Automatic Exploit Prevention – capable of blocking even new and currently unknown exploits, or malware that uses the most dangerous zero-day vulnerabilities.
* Specialized Safe Money technology to protect your online purchases
Another unique technology, available only in Kaspersky Internet Security 2013, is Safe Money aimed at protecting real-life credit card or bank account during online banking or shopping activities with a diverse but easy-to-use set of security tools. This includes a specialized “Safe Browser” mode, isolating money-related business from other online activities, and checking the authenticity of commercial websites. Safe Money will also automatically evaluate the computer for potential vulnerabilities. For an extra layer of protection, Safe Money mode utilizes an on-screen Virtual Keyboard – allowing the user to enter passwords and credit card numbers without a physical keyboard, rendering keylogging malware useless.
* New antivirus engine with excellent detection rates for all kinds of malicious programs
Kaspersky Lab has increased the overall level of protection for its customers, thanks to a new antivirus engine and the company’s landmark Hybrid Approach – which combined traditional methods of detecting and blocking threats with modern cloud-based techniques. The previous editions of Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Anti-Virus regularly show more than 99% detection rates in independent tests, with up to 100% for the most prevalent malware. In the new versions of the consumer products, Kaspersky Lab is aiming even higher --- working to block even the rarest and quickly-spreading malware.
* Enhanced anti-spam module in Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 to save you time and hassle
Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 efficiently combats unwanted mail – the most common security threat – using a completely new anti-spam engine that works seamlessly with the user’s favorite email client.

* Better performance and simplified user experience
In Kaspersky Internet Security 2013, Kaspersky Lab made sure that during the most frequent tasks, such as web browsing or the installation of new software, the protection is effective but inconspicuous. The user interface in the new products has been streamlined for a better experience, with fewer clicks and menus required to access the tools and information needed.
Kaspersky Lab is now available in the Philippines and each license is good for one year. In the Philippines, the retail pricing of the 2013 Consumer Suite is as follows:
1-user Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 - PHP1,160.00
