Know Your Number: Beyond the Box Puts the Real Cost of an iPhone Upgrade Up Front
Its new Promo Calculator shows what an iPhone 18 Pro will actually cost after trade-in, bonuses and 0% installments, before you step into a store.
Every iPhone launch comes with the same question, and it isn't about the camera. It's "How much am I really going to pay?" Between the SRP, trade-in offers, bank promos and freebies, the real number is usually hard to pin down until you're already at the counter.
Beyond the Box wants to change that. Ahead of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders, the Apple Premium Reseller has launched a Promo Calculator on its website. It shows shoppers an estimate of what their upgrade will cost, including trade-in value and 0% installment payments, before they commit.
Three steps to your real price
The calculator, at beyondthebox.ph/pages/promo-calculator, asks for three things:
- Your new iPhone. Choose the model and storage you want.
- Your trade-in. Pick the phone you're handing over and its storage.
- Your bank and terms. Choose your card and how many months you want to pay.
It then lays out your "Best iPhone Deal": the SRP, any promo price, your estimated trade-in value, an extra bonus, the new price and your monthly payment.
What it looks like in practice
We ran one scenario: a 1TB iPhone 18 Pro, with a 1TB iPhone 17 Pro as the trade-in.
That's roughly ₱65,000 off the SRP. Spread over 24 months at 0%, it works out to about ₱3,546 a month. The calculator shows the exact monthly once you pick a bank and term.
Seeing that breakdown in one place changes how you shop. Instead of guessing at the counter, you can compare storage sizes, see what your current phone is worth, and set a budget at home.
Nine bank partners
The calculator covers 0% installment plans with nine banks:
BPI, UnionBank, Metrobank, BDO, Chinabank, HSBC, EastWest, Security Bank, PNB
That range matters. Most shoppers already hold a card from at least one of these banks, so they can see their own payment plan rather than a generic one.
Beyond the freebies
Pre-order perks still matter. Beyond the Box is offering premium gifts worth over ₱20,000 on its website, plus up to 24 months at 0% interest. But freebies only tell you what you get on top. The Promo Calculator tells you what you'll actually spend, which is the number most upgraders care about.
This is the kind of tool shoppers appreciate, especially for a phone that can cost as much as a laptop. It turns a big purchase into a figure you can plan around, before the excitement of launch day takes over.
Read the fine print
The calculator gives estimates, and Beyond the Box says so on the page. Trade-in values depend on a physical inspection of your device and on eligibility requirements. Trade-ins are also only available at Beyond the Box's physical stores. Bank approval, applicable fees and final terms still apply.
In short, use the calculator to plan, then bring your old phone to a store to lock in the final number.
Pre-order dates
Pre-orders for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max open October 2 at 12:01 a.m., and units become available October 16. iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₱94,990 and iPhone 18 Pro Max at ₱99,990. Shoppers can pre-order on beyondthebox.ph, through Beyond the Box's Shopee and Lazada stores, or at any Beyond the Box store nationwide.
