If you’re a tea lover and a pet parent, there’s a new reason to visit Eastwood City this December. I recently attended the grand opening of CHAGEE’s first pet-friendly store in Southeast Asia, and I have to say, it’s as fun and welcoming as it sounds. The space feels thoughtfully designed for both humans and their furry companions, creating a new kind of hangout that blends tea culture with pet companionship.
The moment you approach the store, playful touches like a rooftop cat installation and a dog sculpture greet you, setting a lighthearted and inclusive vibe. Inside, the store balances comfort and safety for pets with style for humans. There’s alfresco seating with weather-resistant benches, durable non-slip flooring, and air purifiers placed around to keep the environment fresh. I also noticed a small, convenient cleaning station with wipes, lint rollers, and a handwash station, which makes it easier to enjoy the visit without worrying about hygiene.
One of my favorite touches is the pet-friendly details in the menu and drinks. Every order comes in pastel-colored cups featuring cuddly pet designs exclusive to the Eastwood branch, and there’s free water available for pets in specially designed bowls. The tea bar counter is enclosed with glass panels, which keeps drinks protected from pet fur while letting you see your order being made. I found these small touches thoughtful and well-executed, they make the store feel truly welcoming to everyone.
The grand opening weekend from December 5 to 7 brought extra excitement with activities like the pawtrait photo booth, the CHAGEE giant cup display, and the “Paw-shion” show. Attendees could win prizes by completing activities, and pet parents who bought merchandise could get a free family paw-trait photo. I got to see a few pets strut their stuff in the Paw-shion show, and it was such a heartwarming sight to see owners and pets enjoying the spotlight together. For those who love a little friendly competition, CHAGEE also brought back their Tear and Win promo with prizes like Fendi dog collars, pet spa sessions, and exclusive merchandise.
Beyond fun and drinks, CHAGEE’s new store also champions a meaningful cause. All proceeds from pet merchandise sold during the opening weekend go to the Pawssion Project, a non-profit organization supporting stray animals. It was touching to see photos of rescued pets displayed in the store, highlighting the brand’s commitment to kindness and community. It’s clear that CHAGEE wants this space to be about connection between people and animals that brighten our lives.
