HONOR and BYD announce a strategic partnership to integrate HONOR’s AI connectivity solutions with BYD’s DiLink smart ecosystem, ushering in a new era of AI-driven, human-centric mobility innovation.
Global AI device ecosystem leader HONOR has officially announced a strategic partnership with BYD, the world’s top new-energy vehicle manufacturer. This collaboration aims to merge HONOR’s advanced vehicle connectivity solutions with BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem, paving the way for a new era of AI-driven intelligent mobility that focuses on human-centered innovation.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by James Li, CEO of HONOR, and Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group. Representing their companies, Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, and Yang Dongsheng, Senior Vice President of BYD and President of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute, sealed the deal, signifying a major milestone in the companies’ joint vision for intelligent mobility.

This partnership marks more than just a technological collaboration; it signifies a shared commitment to shaping the future of smart, AI-powered mobility. Both companies will work together across three main pillars. The first focuses on core technology and innovation, including cross-device ecosystem integration, AI agent development, and high-precision Bluetooth-based car key technology. The second pillar centers on channel ecosystem and user benefits, with efforts to build a unified platform that enhances interoperability between HONOR’s connected solutions and BYD’s smart systems. Lastly, the third pillar highlights joint marketing and user engagement, emphasizing co-branded campaigns, product launches, and events that bring these innovations closer to consumers.
HONOR and BYD’s partnership has grown steadily since their first collaboration in 2023, which introduced smartphone NFC car keys, allowing BYD owners to unlock their vehicles using HONOR smartphones. This expanded in 2024 to include in-vehicle fast charging, and by 2025, the cooperation deepened further as DENZA became the first brand to adopt HONOR Car Connect. The initiative continues to expand across BYD’s portfolio, enabling smooth, cross-device interaction and seamless service continuity between phone and car.

“At HONOR, we’ve always believed that technology’s true potential lies in enhancing human experience,” said James Li, CEO of HONOR. “Our partnership with BYD represents a major step forward in the AI era. Together, we will co-develop intelligent mobility solutions that enrich every journey and set a new benchmark for smart living.”

This alliance not only integrates resources and technology but also embodies a forward-looking approach to AI-driven mobility innovation. Both HONOR and BYD are committed to accelerating advancements in phone-to-car connectivity, digital keys, and intelligent safety systems, creating smarter, safer, and more convenient driving experiences for users worldwide.

The partnership’s progress will be showcased at the 2025 HONOR Global Developers Conference and AI Device Ecosystem Conference held on October 23, where HONOR will also present the HONOR AI Connect platform. This platform highlights HONOR’s dedication to building a human-centric AI ecosystem that transforms everyday scenarios into intelligent, connected experiences.
