Avon Philippines takes its breast cancer advocacy to schools through the Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour, empowering young women to take charge of their health through self-checks and early detection.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Avon Philippines continues to make a powerful statement with its Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour, a movement that brings breast cancer awareness directly to students across the country. The initiative encourages young Filipinas to “Feel Yourself”, a reminder to take charge of their breast health through regular self-checks and early detection.
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women worldwide, with one in eight women diagnosed in their lifetime. In recent years, more cases have been recorded among women in their 20s and 30s, breaking the misconception that it’s “too early” to worry. However, early detection dramatically improves outcomes. When detected in its localized stages, breast cancer has a 99% five-year survival rate.
As one of the world’s leading beauty brands, Avon has been a consistent advocate in the fight against breast cancer since 1992. Over the past three decades, the brand has donated more than $951 million to breast cancer causes, educated over 180 million people, and helped fund screenings for more than 20 million women globally.
At the heart of this effort is Avon’s Breast Cancer Promise, a mission to help women know the signs, understand the risks, and take proactive steps toward early detection. With younger generations now facing increased risks, Avon is making sure awareness starts early and becomes a lifelong habit.
A United Movement for Breast Health
This October, the Feel Yourself Pink Campus Tour continues Avon’s commitment to breast health by bringing its advocacy directly to universities. The initiative aims to normalize conversations around early detection and empower students with the knowledge and confidence to perform self-checks regularly.
The tour falls under Avon’s larger Pink Advocacy, which includes the Avon Pink Bus, a mobile clinic in partnership with the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) that provides free consultations and screenings to local communities. Together, these programs ensure that awareness is backed by access, combining education and real medical support to create lasting impact.
Several of Avon’s celebrity ambassadors, Kyline Alcantara, Kaori Oinuma, Maymay Entrata, and Enchong Dee, are set to join select university stops to further spread the message of self-awareness and empowerment.
The Pink Campus Tour kicked off on October 17 at the University of Santo Tomas and continues to visit key schools across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including FEU, Ateneo de Manila University, PUP, Adamson University, NU Manila, DLS-CSB, UP Diliman, and West Visayas State University until November 28.
“It’s never too early to take care of your breast health. Early detection can make a big difference, and I hope more young women feel comfortable talking about it. I’m glad to be part of Avon’s Pink Campus Tour so we can learn and remind each other to ‘feel yourself’ through regular self-checks,” said Kyline Alcantara, Avon Ambassador.
“For 139 years, Avon has been more than just a beauty brand. We’ve always stood for a greater purpose. Our Breast Cancer Promise is about empowering everyone to act early because self-checks are often the first step toward early detection—and early detection saves lives,” shared Marion Limlengco, Head of Communications at Avon Philippines.
The tour is made possible with the support of ThinkPink.PH, GrabUnlimited, Move It, and other advocacy partners who share the same goal of empowering the youth with knowledge, access, and safe spaces to protect their health.
“Early detection should be a habit, not a privilege,” said Bea Bravo, Grab Philippines Deputy Country Marketing Head. “We’re proud to support Avon and the Philippine Cancer Society in reaching young women where they live and learn. Awareness saves lives, and routine protects them.”
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Avon pledges to donate a portion of proceeds from select products to the Philippine Cancer Society, further reinforcing its commitment to making a difference. The curated collection includes beauty, fashion, intimate apparel, and body care essentials, allowing customers to support the cause with every purchase.
Beyond the campus tour, Avon continues its partnership with PCS through the Avon Pink Bus mobile clinic, which provides breast health consultations and screenings for Avon Representatives and associates. These initiatives reflect Avon’s mission to build a culture rooted in awareness, access, and action, because early detection saves lives.
