Discover CHAGEE’s world-famous BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea as the global tea sensation opens its first three stores in the Philippines. Learn more about the drinks, promos, and my personal experience at the media preview.
I had the chance to attend the Media Preview of CHAGEE, a global tea brand that has finally made its way to the Philippines. As someone who enjoys discovering new café spots and unique drinks, this event was something I was really looking forward to. It was not just about trying out their milk teas but also learning the story and craftsmanship behind each cup.
For those who haven’t heard of it yet, CHAGEE is a modern tea brand that has gained international popularity for its high-quality milk teas, most especially its signature BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea. This drink has sold more than 600 million cups worldwide and is finally available in Manila. The BO·YA is crafted using premium green tea leaves from Yunnan high mountains, Dabaihao Green Tea, and Double-Petal Jasmine. What makes it special is the traditional scenting process, where jasmine blossoms are layered over the tea leaves, creating a naturally floral aroma that blends perfectly with milk. At the event, I got to taste it freshly brewed, and I must say, it stood out for its smoothness and natural taste, without the overly sweet flavors you sometimes get from other milk teas.
Aside from BO·YA, CHAGEE is also bringing a wide selection of milk teas to the Philippines, including Da Hong Pao Milk Tea, Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea, Lapsang Souchong Black Milk Tea, and the Glutinous Green Milk Tea. Each drink highlights different tea profiles, and if you’re someone who loves exploring flavors beyond the usual, you’ll definitely enjoy the variety. I personally found the Da Hong Pao Milk Tea to be rich and bold, while the Osmanthus Oolong had a lighter, fragrant taste that was easy to drink.
Another thing I appreciated during the preview was how CHAGEE presented their Tea Bar concept. The stores are designed with a clean, modern, and minimalist style, spaces where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy your tea. I can imagine it being a nice spot for quick catch-ups or even a quiet tea break in between errands. The vibe feels a bit different from the usual milk tea shops here in Manila, leaning more toward café culture while still keeping it casual.
The big news is that CHAGEE is officially opening its first three stores in the Philippines on August 29, 2025. You can find them at SM North EDSA, Robinsons Galleria, and Venice Grand Canal Mall. To celebrate, they’re launching the “Tear and Win” promo from August 29 to 31. Every large fresh milk tea comes in a Tear & Win cup where you can peel a section to reveal instant prizes like an iPhone, Jo Malone Perfume, exclusive CHAGEE merchandise, and even a Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag. It’s a fun way to enjoy your drink while having a chance to win something exciting.
They’re also offering special bundles during the opening: two large BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Teas for only PHP 165 (from PHP 330), or one BO·YA Jasmine Green Milk Tea paired with a Da Hong Pao Milk Tea for PHP 169 (from PHP 334). Both bundles qualify for the Tear & Win promo, making it a great deal if you plan to go with a friend.
CHAGEE has also launched its mobile app, available on the Play Store and App Store, where you can get vouchers and check out its full menu.
Overall, my first experience with CHAGEE was refreshing, not just because of the drinks, but because of the philosophy behind the brand. They really emphasize using authentic ingredients and traditional methods, which I think is what sets them apart. With its arrival in Manila, tea lovers now have a new destination to explore. And if you’re curious about the BO·YA craze, now’s the perfect time to give it a try.
